He was about to red card you. That means they have to fly you home. Just say you live on an exotic island and get free air passage there.

It was a poor joke, hence the red card.

Bit of Pogues as well, for some reason. No idea why that should be...
" rake at the gates of hell " should be an obvious one
thanks to john constantine , i'll now wear trench coats, smoke and drink constantly, talk in a british accent, get a sting haircut, fuck lots and lots of people, start a punk band, piss off people on a daily basis for shits and giggles, and literally piss on vampires and trick demons into curing my cancer.

like a BOSS.

And another obvious Pogues reference.

There is a Damnation Army and a mucous membrane on youtube. Both are heavy metal bands.

Each chapter of City of Demons is named after a memorable 80s punk/new wave/metal track. I compiled them into a list and added some others to make a Hellblazer CD. Plus my friend Jef uploaded to me the disk image from Ade's WAY TOO AWESOME double CD which I listen to all the time, oh and the sequel which makes for 3 CDs of pure HELLBLAZER tunage greatness And there's the hard copies waiting for me aT HIS PLACE TOO WHENEVER i GET TO dALLAS AGAIN. (SORRY, KEEP HITTings capslock and I'm too wired to bother with fixing oit). . I reread Original SIns the other day while listening to Ade's project and it goes so well with the comic, that I can only suggest pouring yourself a pint, sitting on your porch outside and cranking the stereo up so the neighbors will also appreciate it.

And, Ade, we have a surprise coming to you soon. Unfortunately, jef's PC crashed this morning, which will delay the surprise, but I think you'll like it and/or appreciate it. More on that as technology allows.

Anything by The Rezillos or the Dead Kennedys makes me think of HB, The Clash too. I'm sure The Rezillos are mentioned in one issue in fact.
He doesn't really remind me of HB as such but I find that a bit of Tom Waits makes for good reading music especially the album Bone Machine.
Can't find a good version of Murder In The Red Barn on youTube so heres another

Hellblazer usually evokes Clash more than Pistols for me.
"I think I could turn and live with animals. They are so placid and self-contained. They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins. They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God. Not one of them kneels to another or to his own kind that lived thousands of years ago. Not one of them is respectable or unhappy, all over the earth."

"No I'll tell you what's gonna happen, she can take half your shit man. She can take half your car, half the trailer park, half your video game, she can even take half your cigarettes Ricky."

Hey, slinks. Think we could create a soundtrack for the show like with the arcs?

That's an awesome idea. However, I'm babysitting a friend right now. Ironically, he's perfect at this sort of thing. But I reccommend Ade in my stead. To be honest, I barely listen to music right now and know of nothing new. But I would love to contribute once I have the time. It's a great ideea!
