I'm not sure if anyone is still reading the book at this point, but I figured it was best that someone do this, since this is still nominally a Hellblazer forum.

Written by Simon Oliver. Art by Davide Fabbri and José Marzan. Cover by Declan Shalvey.
'The Smokeless Fire' part three! Magic is all very well, but in the City of Light John and Misabel's hunt for the missing journal has become a battle of wits-and Constantine may finally have met someone more slippery than he is. Meanwhile, Marid's plan moves into London's corridors of power…and an Angel loses his wings.

Never mind that: what was the flying trainer at the end of the last issue about?

Hey, I notice that The Hellblazer now costs $3.99, instead of $2.99. Is DC raising the price of all their books, or is Hellblazer just so special it costs extra now? The only DC books I'm buying are ones that were already $3.99, but I know that all their "Rebirth" line was supposed to be $2.99 (cheaper than Marvel). The last issue cost $2.99.
Another good reason to drop off the book, considering it wasn't worth the dollar less.

It looks like all the monthlies are being bumped back up to $3.99. For example, Deathstroke in the future is being changed to a monthly schedule from its current biweekly release schedule, so future solicits have its price at $3.99 rather than the $2.99 it is atm.

I think I've given up on all the DC ongoings now that I've quit Hellblazer: Mo' Constantine and Cave Carson (certainly can't thibnk of anything else I'm reading offhand). I'm just going to stick to the batshit oneshots from now on, unless the Jonah Hex/Yosemite Sam comic turns out to be an even bigger let down than the Banana Splits/Suicide Squad one...

I'm with you dog. I have given up on the "big 2". Nothing they do impresses me anymore. Dark Horse and Image are putting out so much better stuff.

Flintstones is my DC Comics must buy book.
I still buy quite a few Marvel Comics though. Image, Dark Horse, and IDW all publish quite a few really quality books, as well. Marvel isn't as strong as it was a few years back, when they had all the top writers in the field (it seemed like), but they still publish some quality titles, and they have Al Ewing, who is probably at the top of my list of current comic book writers (although Ultimates seems to be the only quality work he's doing right now).
