I wrote a book, and it's been issued as part of a limited, signed three book set from Thunderstorm Books. The other two books are by Brian Keene, so that should be reason enough to buy the set. Also, there's a cover by M. Wayne Miller, and an introduction by Laird Barron.

Nicholas Kaufmann kindly let me used his 'The Scariest Part' to write about the book, and you can read that blog entry at Nicholauskaufmann.com.

I'm still not quite sure this is happening.

Cool! Congrats, no small feat, John!
Rule #1 to posting on this forum - don't take anything Rogan says personally, or seriously for that matter!

Anyway, this is a wonderful series, and I'm eternally in Rogan's debt for bringing it to my attention.

if i may ask:
when did the idea for the book came to you? when did you start writing? was it your first script?

1) Slowly developed after the utter failure to publish my first novel.
2) I started writing it around the end of 2010.
3) I've written a previous novel, and collaborated on a novel. None of these have been published.

sounds like you need a lot of patience to get even the chance for commercial success. must feel so damn awesome for you right now.

Wow! Congratulations!

I'm working on a couple of paperback publishers for a less expensive version. I'll let you know when that happens.

And they liked working with me enough to publish another one of my books. Holy fuckballs!

Again it's horror, but as you can see from the cover, this one's a bit more violent.

Both of these are limited editions. Thunderstorm books specializes in low print run, high material quality. The first one sold out in a month, and I expect this one will take a couple (since it doesn't have the Brian Keene factor to push it). There were 260 copies of Hag, and only 64 of I Do Terrible Things. Still waiting for a paperbackpblishe to get back to me about Hag, but I'm planning on a less exclusive publisher for Terrible Things.

I was forgetting the small press mostly specialises in mousemilk editions. ;) Good luck finding a publisher who'll keep it in print once the limited edition has sold out.
