  1. Yessir. It's really a shame Claremont lost editorial control so much at the end. It was cool when Morrison did the big status quo shift at the beginning of his run, but Claremont did that every year or two until he left.
  2. well he appears as an orphan but I think he was going to be some weird changeling creature that was really like 70 years old in the body of a kid
  3. You know the original mr sinister as a changeling plotline he was going to do? that would have been crazy. there was an issue of classic x men w cyclops and him at some orphanage that was creepy as hell.
  4. Lou, what the hell is going on here? (Laugh track) Damned if I know! (Oooooh)
  5. So I guess that would be Shub-Niggurath?
  6. So much this. Society of superheroes and the watchmen one were both really well constructed, this one I was reading it and I was like "damn, I'm halfway done already? He's still introducing the characters". Had its moments but probably the weakest issue so far.

I like it despite itself, he goes too far with the on the nose monologues IMO. not saying sandman's not worth reading but he could use an editor.

this is when Isn't namedropping Tori Amos all the way through the second half more of a '90s thing? well her snares are pretty echoey too haha. guess she can feel it coming in the air tonight oh lord I think the moment when sandman starts really dating itself to me is the spoken word scene in issue 5 or wherever.

honestly lucifer holds up a lot better than sandman does. sandman has the comic book equivalent of the gated echoey snare on 80s alt rock records.
  14. Dropsie Ave by Will Eisner...pretty great stuff if you're into american cities.
