  1. Nergal claimed her as payment for his services and John walked her through the gate, if I recall correctly. She didn't die and go to hell... she went to hell while she was alive and was sealed in. Probably died from the blood-loss involved in losing her arm, though.
  2. original cover from the 2nd page.

    Hellblazer #241

I'm enjoying the story and I liked this issue.
  4. I think I'll wait until I get home to click that link.
  5. Carey's run had some covers sans Johnny-boy. and Those are astounding. What arc are they from? Stations of the Cross http://www.insanerantings.com/hell/comics/ongoing/hb197.html and Reasons to be Cheerful. http://www.dccomics.com/graphic_novels/?gn=7030
  6. Either that guy has shoulder pads, or his arm is really fucked up. Either way, he really needs to iron his clothes.
  7. You, as bad as Mina's run was, there were some nice covers. I particularly liked 218, and was quite disappointed with its replacement cover.
  8. I've generally liked all the Hellblazer issues I've read, including the Mina run. This issue, however, had a weird effect on me. I was reading it, thinking that it was starting to get interesting, and then it ended. Yeah, the roulette trick was fine, as was reintroducing Ravenscar, but it really did feel like nothing happened. It felt thin and that's all there is to it.
  9. For what it's worth, I didn't get that out of the issue, either.
  10. I hope I'm not the only one who thought that this was funny. How so, and why? Even if due to mild mental illness, it shows remarkable responsibility to not drive, knowing they might get pulled out of reality at any moment. I just think it's funny that people actually believe in that stuff. Not driving because you might be "contacted" is just a silly thing to hear about.
  11. I hope I'm not the only one who thought that this was funny.
  12. If I remember correctly, John was simply being pulled there along with every other magic/sensitive. There wasn't an auction or anything, people were just being drawn to the power of the gateway/letter.
  13. Alternatively, you could read the issue synopses from the main site here. I hadn't read any of Carey's prior work on Hellblazer, and I rather enjoyed Staring at the Wall.
  14. I thought this issue was alright. Of course, my friends can tell you, I'm not usually very critical of entertainment.
  15. Since when would a load of tits be a bad thing? That's all I've got, I haven't read the issue yet :p
