For fans of the popular Hellblazer tribute act in Supernatural

So, together, Constantine and Liv must use her power and his skills to travel the country, find the demons that threaten our world and send them back where they belong.

This is such a ripoff of Supernatural. There's even a guy dressed as Castiel.

But will he talk about the Pizza Man porn scene?

Now if DC did a crossover with Hellblazer and Scooby Doo, written by John Rozum, we'd lap them crossover apples up.

Only if it ends with the gang getting killed, I'm all for it

"Like, zoinks! Scooby is possessed by a demon and turned into a Norfulthing!"

"We would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for you meddling kids...and that bastard!"

that's actually a real deal. Castiell fans seem inconsolable that Constantine existed almost 20 yrs before their boy did, or that the production designer for his show was a huge Hellblazer fan and wardrobed Castiell as an homage to our John. tsk tsk

Surely it's mostly casual viewers and twats saying that? I'd expect devoted Supernatural fans to know where Castiel's costume came from, given that the cast and creators have always been quite open about it. And Misha Collins seems to have cracked jokes about it in every convention video from the past 12 months. :icon_wink: (Exaggeration.)

still the show will have its difficulties to distinguish itself from spn. goodlooking guy that has lost a person to some big ass demon, fights the forces of evil with magic, has some badass sidekick, an angel that looks over him with dubious motives and a vast and resourceful network. i really hope the authors nail the differences and attract enough viewers for this show to keep running for more then one season. preferably six seasons and a movie :icon_wink:

There's plenty to distinguish from SPN:

Gemma

The Golden Boy

Clarice (when has Dean ever had a blowjob from an old hag at a cemetary? Honestly?)

Watford

Rosacarnis

Our boy's a crap fighter (but dangerous with darts!)

A certain Bog God

The rest of the Trenchcoat Brigade

you do not have to convince me that spn is not constantine or vice versa

it is important that the authors manage to point out the differences. also imo the tone of the series in general should be much darker in constantine than in spn. spn tends to goof around alot and in comparison even if hb was funny it was a really dark humor.

Was John even considered good looking?

Seventhcircle was talking about Welsh John from the TV show. But in any case, yeah, John's appearance from the comics was originally based on the young Sting. And he used to be a snappy dresser too.

(I'll get back to you later with some sort of 'ladykiller' joke. Probably.)

ha jason gets it ^^. i would say when it comes to looks, matt ryan is easily en par with jensen ackles and jared padalecki.

that reminds me of lotr where at some point the hobbits hint that aragorn is hidious or something (he was described so in the books) and viggo mortensen gave them this long hard look.

edited out the remark, since i was not sure if the word was offensive or the way i refered to some body part, that might or might not have magical superpowers.

Hi 7 o

Just so you know, we don't really refer to people's sexuality in that way around here.

Especially in the open forum.

It's kind of rude.

so i did a google search on the word queer and i am quite a bit confused. i was, before ade pointed out that it is offensive, quite sure it is political correct to use it, since i have occasionally heard it being used as self reference by some homosexuals. now i read that it is/ was used as an offensive word torwards said sexual orientation, but is in the progress of getting reclaimed by said community. a lot of associations use the word to describe themselves, as gathering clubs for homosexuals (like 'queer football fanclubs' -> that is the name of an organisation representing fanclubs of homosexual football fans). so since i am not quite sure when it is 'ok' to use i will stay abstinent from it. sorry, i never meant to be offensive on that point.
