McKean did some concept sketches for the 2nd Potter movie.

most likely, none of them were used in the making of the film...

From what I've seen they probably would have spoilered the future books and were ordered to be cut by Rowling.

Am I warm?

Q: What’s your connection to Harry Potter?

A: I contributed the production design of the spiders and mandrakes to Potter 2, and werewolf, hypogriff, shroudy floaty guys (can’t remember what they’re called), and some other bits and pieces to number 3, and I’m still working on that one.

hehe... "shroudy floaty guys"

i don't think that was his design. he just made cdesigns, along with a bunch of other artists, probably, and then the SFX guys along with the producers/director chose the winning one or combined one from thr concept sketches.

My favourite slide from Saturday's Hellblazer Show.

(The Bradstreet version appears several seconds after the slide is shown)

Nice one, Ade! Let me know if you need any Bradstreet-like Keanustine spoofs...

Saturday's Hellblazer show?

Ade put together a Hellblazer slide-show/presentation for the con held in Bristol last weekend, he presented it with Mike Carey and...um...another chap whose name I've just forgotten.

Joel Meadows ex-Tripwire editor interviewed Mike about Hellblazer and I illustrated the talk with scenes from the series (and film).

Joel has also interviewed Francis Lawrence for a magazine article, but less of that when it has been published.

Guest spiderlegs

So, would you fancy putting the slideshow into a Powerpoint presentation and posting it online for the rest of us poor blokes who live outside of "Jolly ol'" to see?

I'd love to see it!
