What's the goal of a cover though?

Is it to have tits and bright colors, to catch the eye of a prospective reader?

Is it to complement the artwork of the story?

Is it to be a gay lookin' Prince dude with snakes on a throne with a blue colored bloke in a trenchcoat pasted into the right side?

Why not all of the above?

Coming up in Batman:Classified, a retelling of Batman's first meeting with the Mad Hatter, with Sam Kieth!

How excited do you think I am to see that? Huh? Huh?

The market for a poster of a not-great selling Vertigo comic is probably small.

Which sucks, I'd love an Invisibles poster.

Who's the Gangland cover artist? I think I recognize him.

We need some old school covers with 4 or more speech bubbles and a tagline about something that doesn't happen.

#215 was his last.

He is indeed awesome.

Youknow who else is awesome?

The Philips.

I'm pretty sure Vertigo published the series as a Vehicle for Sean Philips covers.

KIRBY'S HERE!

Things that are awesome:

A bunch of hippies on a crazy-ass motorcycle.

A bearded hippy telling Superman to try a bong hit.

The character designs.

The motorcycle design.

The fact that the bearded hippy is so huge, Kirby had to draw the pretty hippy chick in a separate box.

The fact that KIRBY'S HERE!

Heh heh, that's pretty awesome, man! First I get Hine writing my favorite character, now you got Kieth doing your Hatter! Btw, a few days ago when I was reading Robin Year One, every page with the Hatter reminded me of you. heh.

One of my favourite ever series is Denny O'Neil's run on The Question (not quite enough issues for the 'favourite long running series' thread though. Bah) but what always drew me to it to begin with was my predeliction for trenchcoats and trilbys.

Hence...

I love all of them but, if i had to choose, it would definitely be the middle one (#6). So much going on but so instantly simple. Perfect.
