God bless all the fine folks who work at TwoMorrows publishing. The magazines they publish are like Sports Illustrated for geeks like me.I Wish some of the back issues were not so hard to track down.

To add something to the theme of this thread, I remember reading that the "Going Sane" story-arc by J.M. DeMatteis, my pick for absolute best Joker story ever, will finally be Traded sometime in the next couple of months, so everyone will at last have a chance to read it!

I hunted down the back issues. Well worth it, too.

I just read that DC is planning to release Jack Kirby's The Demon Omnibus later this year.

Next year, DC also plans to expand its Chronicles line starting with Golden Age Green Lantern and Wonder Woman.

I recently dropped nearly all my Big 2 books, but damn it DC announced not too long ago that they'll be releasing a Two-Face one shot by David Hine, therefore I must buy it! Also, Mark Sable will be writing Two-Face: Year One which I've a good feeling about. I saw the pages for the first issue when I met him over the weekend and it looked really good.

This is me doing a happy naked dance around the living room.

Be glad there weren't photographs.

I love Kirby's Demon. It's repetitive, one-dimensional, dumb, and one of my favourite comics.

Comic Shops News has some hilarious comics advertised for August....

First of all, we have Captain America: White by Jeph Loeb. Remember those colour coded superhero mini-series Loeb was writing for Marvel? Uhh....Why exactly is it Captain America: White?

Next, Jenna Jameson (porn actress) has a comic series coming up. Published by Virgin....

And, in my serious comic news, William Messner-Loebs (who lives about 20 minutes from me) is writing a Necronomicon series. That should be good.

The slogan with which DC chose to advertise the content of Final Crisis when pressed for it, “The Day Evil Won,” doesn’t really address the problem. I mean, congratulations, so you’ve got a second act in there somewhere, at the end of which the bad guys temporarily win, which they always do.

Wow! DC is really serious about collecting all of Jack Kirby's work for them.

First, Kirby's Demon is being released in November (which I cannot wait for!).

Just announced for March 2009 will be Jack Kirby's run on The Losers.

I do hope there's going to be a soft-cover of this one, as the price is steep for this type of collection. It should be the same price as Kirby's OMAC, I'd think (which I just got in the mail today).

Brain Azzarello and Lee Bermejo take on the Joker!

Just like they did Luthor. I guess the gist of it is that the joker' gets out of Arkham and looks to rebuild his empire that's been divied up in his absence. Sweet! got some good sneak looks in the latest CSN.

It's a graphic novel rather than a mini-series though.

The description of it in the latest Comic Shop News read something like, "Azzarello and Bermejo take the Joker to new and more disturbingly violent ends". That just killed my interest. Every Joker story now is about making the Joker more psychopathic and disturbing.

Having him dress up like Marilyn Manson and paint his fingernails didn't work, what new disturbing ends will they think of next?

Completely, 100% seconded. With bells on.
