Hellblazer #250 Cover & solicitation

Recommended Posts

I'd imagine more like 5-8. The issue'll be a little oversized, but not that big (48 pages, according to the solicitations - presumably, that includes adverts, so more like 32 story pages).

Which is fine by me - there've been some splendid short Hellblazer stories produced over the years.

That's one hell of a creative line-up, right there. For the first time in longer than I care to remember, I'm genuinely excited by an upcoming issue of Hellblazer.

Ditto.

I'd rather something substantial for a special, than a not so novel novelty, of which these things usually turn out to be.

They're getting good writers to tell short stories, which is exactly what I want from Hellblazer. For this little black duck, that is something substantial.

I'm truly a miserable [over-used word].

C'mon, you're not always miserable.

Sorry I have to do this.

I didn't even know that China Mieville read Hellblazer.

I'm having dreams right now about me Ade, Jamie Delano Mike Carey, China Mieville in a pub Thai restaurant chatting about Socialism and John Constantine.....Dreamy!

NOT AN IMAGINARY STORY !

NOT A HOAX !

I'm looking forward to this. Even Azzarello (whose short Hellblazer stories range from the very poor MMF Episode and Bingo to the excellent one about Nergal and John's first meeting and the NerdHappy Lap Dogs and Englishmen).

As an advocate of Hellblazer continuing in this sort of format but (single issue stories rather than anthology issues) I don't mind this at all.

I just loved this team of writers. I also Love Christmas´ stories and one of the best was Gibbons on Vertigo Winters´s edgy. The cover is amazing too and It´s good to see Milligan doing a Hellblazer story, I´d like to see him as regular writer.

So, they'll all be new stories? Cool. When I first saw the line-up (I didn't see Milligan at first), I thought it was another rare cuts. But this looks jolly!

So, Milligan let you know it was new stories before Mieville, the guy who's never written for comics before*?

*Well, techincally. He did have an illustrated story included in his short story collection which I believe saw print in a magazine in England.

I agree. shorter stories work better for me. get some great people working on it (like the line up for this book. Eddie Campbell on art... I think that is definitely a first for the book, right?)

Oh aye, so he was. My mistake (I never finished Shade - decent enough, but didn't quite do it for me - but I think I read those issues).

Bloody hell that sounds good, though i'll always have a bit of a bad taste for milligan christian sorted me straight with him. Have to pick that up even though i'm only doing trades now.
