I want those so so badly...but the Joker and Catwoman kind of sucks.

You were hoping for a Catwoman modelled on Eartha Kitt not Julie Newmar?

That would just be silly. Newmar is THE catwoman.

No, not at all. I just know Mattell can do (and has done) better.

Damn straight. Eartha Kitt was fine as hell, too, but Julie Newmar - I mean DAMN!

This year we get not one but two new John Constantine figures/statues/figurines whatever.

DC Superhero Figur Collection Magazine #115 Hellblazer Eaglemoss

EAGLEMOSS PUBLICATIONS LTD

The ultimate collection for comics fans, the DC Superhero Collection Figurine Magazine brings together DC Comics' greatest heroes and villains! Official figurines of the characters, both good and evil, are cast in lead, individually hand-painted and numbered to form an authentic collector's edition. Each comes with a 20-page magazine providing detailed history and background on the featured characters, including exclusive images and interviews. Choose this month from Vixen (#114) and John Constantine, Hellblazer (#115).

while out with the spider family this past weekend for free comic day, he found an eaglemoss hellblazer figurine. it's really well done. a realistic sculpt, nice paint job, etc. the cigarette is huge, but whatever. it's a heavy chunk of metal too. the magazine accompanying it was just awful, though. so many errors in its glossing over hellblazer history - how phoebe died was the most glaring one i can recall. but that figurine is ace. he displays it atop his puzzlebox (the one that opens the gateway for cenobytes). hellblazer on top of hellraiser.

my final (as far as I know) Hellblazer purchase is that JC figure from last year.

mattyjohnconstantinemain.jpg

it's fairly articulated and a decent sculpt. the eye scar on mine goes from almost the hairline to almost his smile parenthesis.

the ( \__/ ) <---

it's my first action figure purchase for myself.

'member those stories you made for us?. Kinda expect you will branch out into comedic horror with your next one. That is an awful scary murder-clown you got there.
