Stuff to watch out for in '12

Recommended Posts

oooooh! I'm excited for both.

Also, Brubaker + Phillips on Fatale.

The Ultron War. Big Avengers event drawn by Bryan Hitch.

If I'm not mistaken....sometime this year we will see Hellboy in Hell.

I'm sort of looking forward to Brian Wood on Conan and John Ostrander's origin of the Jedi series.

At the same time, there are drawbacks to both books, for me.

I thought Queen of the Black Coast was too long and one of the duller Howard Conan stories, and that's where Wood will be packing up the Conan mythos.

As far as the Star Wars series, I've been burnt out on Star Wars material for years now, and haven't bought any Star Was books in probably three years. So, while the idea of Ostrander being back on S.W., and the origin of the Star Wars universe being fleshed out both sound appealing, I'm not sure if I can muster any excitement over a Star Wars title in 2012.

New Stray Bullets!

Not that we'll get any, probably just more weird torture porn from the once great David Lapham.

The Walking Dead will hit #100, it's a title that's been struggling for a little while now - I'm hoping Kirkman will use the nice big number to wrap up Rick's tale and move onto something a little more interesting.

The Animal Man/Swamp Thing crossover should be good, all involved are bringing the quality month in, month out so don't see how it could go wrong.

As for Hellblazer, I'd like Milligan to wrap up his run and for someone with something to say through Constantine to take over.

Think that little lot betrays that I'm not really reading much in the way of comics these days!

Yes, it certainly is according to the internet.

It'll be a manga.

no, it's not manga. Langdon Fos is definitely more Euro-inspired when it comes to his art. reminds me a lot of the late great Seth Fisher.
