  1. 1. Is it any good?

The thing is, you people posting these satirical perspectives on how they seem to see negative press are going to be taken out of context as what this forum is all about. That's what they did with the Constanteen thing, remember?

Told you so. Even Red's doing it.

Paranoia.

Definitely not talking about you.

Or were we?

Only kidding, absolutely not about you.

(probably)

(but perhaps not?)

Wait, what were we talking about?

Red's in on it. After all, he is a...Commie! :sherlock:

(See, everyone will see the little Sherlock smiley, and think I must be on to something. Otherwise, why would I use that smiley? It's perfect!)

Cursed smilies!!!

By the way, there was a comicon in my girlfriend's tiny village of Irving Tx that I went to. I met Steve Niles. I told him he should be the next Hellblazer writer. He said he'd love to do it if he they contacted him. I bullshit you not! Now, I know for a fact that some of you are not fans of this idea. But I would ask you to read Hellblazer 293 again, and then consider what a celestial upgrade Stev4e Niles would be.

attn: DC/Vertigo moles spying on us (huh? how's that for some paranoia? heh heh ). Please makes this happen quickly so that we can put this whole Milligan mess behind us. The only really crazy one of us is Red because he suspects nothing! Amen.

I've always been against Niles writing HB, because I'm not a fan of his writing.

It's easier for you to argue your case now, after what we've seen from Milligan.

But, I'd still rather see more talented writers with good ideas come on board, rather than settle for Niles, since "he has to be better than Milligan".

I don't expect we'd ever see Niles on HB anyway. Vertigo would probably try to get Snyder on the book before Niles, if it came down to it.

Until I read this thread it didn't cross my mind that this was anything more than just a reference to the fact that John lives in a world where the internet has many and varied websites of limited and specialist interest, conspiracies or on infamous cult figures.

Christ, even the world of Doctor Who has websites devoted to the lead character.

I still maintain this view.

Dr. Who is far more famous and popular than Hellblazer.

I'm sure there are a large number of Dr. Who fan sites on the internet, while there's probably only two or three devoted to Hellblazer specifically.

This site hardly gets any activity, and it was the largest Hellblazer fan web-site until that FaceBook thing took off.

Our comments about Milligan referring to us were pretty much just throw-away remarks. More of a "what if" scenario.

Especially in the wake of that fucking movie. Then again, TheBatSquad website refuses to update their stuff for the New 52 material (and understandably so as the reboot's a fucking joke) so we're not entirely alone in the less active catagory.

I meant within their own storyline / universe, not in the real world.

It's worth pointing out that both times Doctor Who has made noteworthy onscreen nods to the existence of some sort of in-universe fandom (the bloke-with-a-website subplot in the very first episode of the revived show, and pretty much the entire first half-hour of 'Love & Monsters') quite a lot of Doctor Who fans have gotten terribly upset about it, apparently in the belief that they were being grievously insulted by a showrunner who hated them.

This is because quite a lot of Doctor Who fans are complete and utter twunts.

So's the former Showrunner. The final product speaks louder than any interview given.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

This is not the "people who see through the mass hysteria of Doctor Who love" thread,

this is the "latest shit instalment of Hellblazer not as bad as recent issues" thread.

I told you Dr. Who is far more popular than HB. No one wants to talk about HB, but even mention Dr. Who, and the post lights up. And, that's on a HB fan site.

We mind as well change this site over to Voices from Who?:A Dr. Who Site...

Me? I've read a couple of Dr. Who comics. I'm not a big fan, really.

Well. I've now read #296. It was...alright. Nice enough art, middling story, flat dialogue. Not as "good" as last month, but overall this arc is still the best the book's been in ages, so far as I can tell. Nothing much to add to anyone else's comments, really.

You'd have to have very thin skin to think that's a dig at anyone - I like that Constantine appears to be looking at the reader when he says it though.

For the record, I didn't think that, either, but it was necessary to act like I did to sell the conspiracy theory that Mark and all those listed are behind it. over...
