I've picked up those issue, as well....

The covers on the book are great. I loved the cover to #4 and now #6.

Issue #6 is a really good story. A lot of the introspective, inner monologue that DeMatteis made a hallmark. The story wasn't bad either, with the poker game.

I just dread where it's all going. I could do without the Dr. 13 and "faceless mysterious person" stuff in the background, which seems to be leading towards a "big cross-over".

As a stand-alone story, Stranger plays a game of poker with demons is a pretty neat little idea, and I liked how it ended too. Sort of inverts the cliche "don't bet with the Devil" stock plot that pops up in pop culture all the time, and makes Stranger seem more interesting than he was in the previous two issues.

Speaking of Dr Thirteen, I found his commentary on John Constanteen smile inducing. in my head JMD was doing making skme meta comentary. Oh it is indeed leadin towards a big crossover. The Trinity War!!! I've a feeling that just was PS starts to finds its footing that went will come in, smother, before potential can kick in more.

Ok, Snyder & Capullo have been killing it on Batman (although slightly lagging at parts, overall it's been solid) but is this really necessary?!? Yet, another tale of Batman's early days as dark knight vigilante. Ugh. He say's he doesn't want to mess with Batman: Year One. Fine. But that's what this is, really. Whatever, I'll probably still buy it.

Ugh. And I am sure I'll buy it. But who even knows if the events of Year One are even canon anymore in the New 52?

Remember, most of Batman's (and GL's) recent continuity is in a 'have your cake and eat it too' phase. It's a totaly reboot....with hand picked elements from the previous continuity, so as to please favored writers and cranky fan-boys. They kept The Killing Joke, so why not?

IF he Synder does end up using the Riddler, as mentioned, then I could be ok. It's time for the Riddler to have a really good story. He's been missing out in recent years. Many of the other Bat-villians have had some decent spot-light time except him.

It is time for a really good Riddler story.

Also, did they keep Killing Joke? Isn't Barbara Gordon up and walking around? Not sure how that shook out.

Tony Stark had his back broken, and was then put in cryogenic storage before being brought back to life fully healed.

Bruce Wayne got over his broken back.

In comics it's like influenza.

Don't know about everyone else, but I quite fancy Batman Year Zero.

They're keeping the whole murdered parents bits and the Year One as it exists, so I can't say I object. Unless it turns out to be shit.

With Snyder and Capullo at the helm, I've no choice but to be on board. I doubt it will be bad.

Confirmed! Diggle is off Action Comics!

http://www.comicbook...rticle&id=44383

Fialkov is now off the Green Lanter books.

http://www.comicbook...rticle&id=44391

To the surprise of no one, the reasons are due to problems with editorial.

DC needs to get their shit together! wow. This is just getting embarrassing.

Our ideas about how DC Comics is operating, based on conjecture from reading their books, is being proven true. It's obvious what's going on.

They have a big preview advertised in all their DC books this week for Andy Diggle's Action Comics. That's just really bad.

Didio's day may be numbered, but what will be left of DC when he leaves?

I have an image of DC publishing an apology for the last three or four years' worth of their comics and just requesting that readers forget about everything that's happened since Countdown...

You mean he's not writing one of the "New 52" titles? I was sure DiDio would have picked him up when Harras worked to pick up all the 1990s Marvel stock writers.

And the hits keep coming! Now, Tony Daniel will leave Action Comics. He was to take over writing once Diggle left after just one issue. Daniel will finish out the story arc then leave for....something "massive." He claims his departure was planned, but I call BS.
