Creeper #1....Even though Creeper isn't technically a villain.

Ventriloquist #1....Is this the old Ventriloquist again, or is it still the female version?

Honestly, Lou, I sort of like all those gimmick covers from the early-90s now. It always takes you back to see a gimmick cover on a comic.

But, I hate the extra cost.

The fact that the Big Two over-printed so much in the early-90s, and that you can find the gimmick covers for cheaper than cover price today is why I have no problem with buying them today. But, when you buy them off the shelf and have to pay extra is when gimmick covers annoy me.

Oh, nevermind. I had to scroll down the page. It's the stupid new Ventriloquist.

My cat did love those 3-D covers though. Staring at them as if in a trance. Probably thinking, "He's not going to be buying them stupid gimmick cover comics and bringing them into this house, is he?".

Maybe the book is done already? CSN reports that Threshhold is done with issue #8, so it's not as if DC is beyond cutting the cord on books early if the sales aren't there.

Would be pretty funny if Constantine died before one year.

EDIT:Although Dial H made it to #15, and Constantine is surely selling better than Dial H.

Maybe the marketplace is worse now than when Dial H launched?

So during its first seven months, Constantine will have missed out on one issue altogether, lost another to the Trinity War crossover and wasted the chunk of only its second issue on the WTF stunt.

Impressive.

DC finally figured out how to make a line of all Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, and Justice League comics. Now they can cancel the rest of their line.

Bleeding Cool reported that a few of these books would become issue #1 of new monthly series.

The Creeper and Lobo I'm sure will be two of those books.

According to this....Yes.

http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?436912-Any-New-52-sightings-of-The-Creeper/page2

Anne Nocenti is going to write the Creeper book though, on the other hand. Still, it is the New 52 DC, and the New 52 Creeper does sound like they mistook the Creeper for the Demon....

I imagine from that cover, that the origin of the Creeper where Jack Ryder has taken them drugs has been twisted around the new 52 way, and the Justice League of Doomed all take LSD and imagine him.

Mike Carey's "Faker" in other words.

That could explain why there are two John Constantines on the cover of that comic.

Or, is the guy out front holding his head supposed to be Jack Ryder? Dressed exactly like John Constantine....

It might have been the case, had the origin for the Creeper not already been set up in the Katana series, with the Creeper entity being some sort of spirit (I guess).

Are there 2 John Constanteens on that cover?

EDIT: Stupid Dave not seeing the next page.
