It's very good.
Has more in common with PROPER westerns than the post-millennial Deadwood style that Brian Azzarello went for in Loveless. I like the single story format, but I expect that the traditional comicbook ongoing arc shite will intrude sooner or later.
Interesting realistic art style (Hex IS Clint Eastwood) which is quite refreshing in between the stylised Frusins/ Mignolas/ Oemings and the scratchy post-Image kids superhero style.
Imagine if Frank Quitely could draw anatomically correctly.
Reminds me of the old Trigan Empire classics.

If you're coming next year. you'd be better coming from Bristol which is located closer to Summer (and that is an important factor here in Winterwonderland)

And more STH folks likely to attend.

Hmm, Slick sneaked one in, but it seems daft to send it here just to send it back over there. Perhaps you should place your order and when Tim gets time we can work something out.

NB from March 2003 these are actual sales by Diamond rather than estimated.
Looking at trends across the market, most middle order books (ie 100-200 in the charts) have dropped by similar amounts, with the exception of "hot" books like Y and Fab Les. TPB sales are less reliable as they tend to be slow burners selling below chart levels for several months after release.

Just watching ROME and the two main centurion types have Chas and John sorted.
I think the John one is Kevin McKidd has been nominated as a Constantine after his showing alongside everyone's fave Chas in Dog Soldiers.
The Chas one is Ray Stevenson and just said "I won't even stand close to that short-arsed bastard".
-
DAMN YOUR EYES, CHAS, GET ME TO UTTOXETER NOW AND GET THOSE BASTARDS FROM HELL HUMAN RESOURCES ON THE LINE BEFORE I GO !
DAMN!
-
I hope you can sort something, my hotel room's already over-subscribed ;-)
But you'd *have* to make the trip to the UK longer !
-
Shoot I missed something special here...
ACX and all America-based folks, this is just an easy way for us to get Tim's art to the Old Countries. Tim has suggested that US folks can get some of the proofs - see the other thread and ask away.
-
For the UK fans I am discounting the prints. They normally sell for $40.00 each. I'm slashing that to $25.00 each for every proof. Issue 202 and issue 214 will sell for $20.00 each. If you order 4 proofs I'll throw in an extra proof gratis - so that's 5 proofs for $100.00
The package to the UK will ship flat, not rolled.
All proofs are 13" X 19" (or Super B)
Here is a sample proof order -
Proof requested: Hellblazer #'s 181, 202, 215. Punisher Max # 2, 20.
Total: $95.00 (subtracted $5.00 for the discounted Hellblazer 202)
Personalized? Yes - "To John Head-the-ball McMahon"
And here's another newsflash for you all.
Anyone who orders at least 2 proofs will get a FREE proof of issue 215.
And the FINAL ORDERS are:
Jock: 181
James $50 = £28.50
19/08: 213, 206, (215)
Sethos $20 = £11.50

If you MUST know more about Mirrormask - imagine some of Dave McKean's lovely artwork moving around for half an hour and then being extended to two hours or thereabouts. Everyone who slagged off the BBC for "ruining" Neverwhere, prepare to apologise.
does that mean that if you really loved Neverwhere, you'll like this as well?
No.
-
Do not seek the Mirrormask.
That is all you need to know.
Do see Oskar and Josefine if you get chance.
It is a nice magical tale about a girl who steps outside of her world through time travel. And brings modern medicine to a world of witch-hunts and people dying of pneumonia. Totally believable children/actors in almost exactly the way that Mirrormask was not. It's a spin off of a danish TV series where Josephine goes back and accidentally persuades Jesus to become a gladiator.

Useless Bastards.

Bad day to be a brummie in London.
Nothing serious.
-
"Fucksticks" ? Really ?
Fucksticks is a great, if not perfect oath. And I'll fight any man who says otherwise :D
Will you fight us with your Fuckstick ?
It just doesn't seem like a gunslinger term. There was some other dialogue that seemed awkward too. (If only the profanisaurus had etymological dating.)
-
Don't be fuckin' cheeky.

And tonight's best film ever is KISS KISS BANG BANG, Shane Black's return to the fold with Robert Downey Jr and Val Kilmer in the very best form in film noir buddy movie with a gay detective called Gay Perry and genital electrocution and a disfingerment ... it's HIL - ARI - OUS

Just got back from seeing "Walk the Line" the Johnny Cash / June Carter biopic that is absolutely the mustest seeest film of the next six months.
Brilliant performances by WHackeem Pheenix and Reese Witherspoon.
(Two actors I can take or leave usually.)
Obviously ace music.
And a well-framed story of the love of the man in black and his lady.
-
William Burroughs was merely referring to the definition of "punk" that predated the musical one.
The musical term "punk rock" originates in 1971, from an article in Creem about ? and the Mysterians (aka Question Mark and the Mysterians) by Dave Marsh. Although Lester Bang used the existing term "punks" about MC5 in an earlier edition.
By that stage, Burroughs was already fried.
-
The original terrified me when I was younger, can still remember pretending to be REALLY interested in a Scooby Doo annual so I wouldn't have to watch the horror that was playing out on the tele.
You read the James Herbert book "The Fog" with the football match ?
Or was that The Dark?
Bloody horrific anyway.

I am 16% gay.
20% here.
We're just comfortable with our sexuality and that poll is trying to gay us up.
FACT: Julian Cope, Johnny Depp & a guy called Paul.
That's it boys so get used to it.

Nope.
