Haven't read new con job apearance in swampy yet- sans spoilers someone fill me in.
Crap theres probably a seperate thread for that.
It's crap.
If you're in Portobello it should be available in Notting Hill Gate for a quid soon.

Yeah, I hate this elite thing where everyone totally agrees on everything except the new folk.
Because, you know, that's where we all agree.
No wait, where we agree is that it's possible to discuss our differences of opinion about Hellblazer (and any other matter) without being rude to each other or any third parties involved.
Most people realise that after a few retorts in kind and a general air of willingness to discuss rationally. What's more elitist than coming over as "I am right and you are (all) wrong"?
But yeah, blah blah blah "elitism" blah blah blah "hive mind" blah blah blah "McMahon's Sock Puppets" blah blah blah.
-
The art is stylish and also it will trick comics nerd fanboys into buying it because they think it's a "Pencil Only Variant".
-
Come on Oldmoore. This is too important an issue to derail the thread.
Now to business.
What are DC calling their Essentials ?
Because they really should sort them out to fill the early series gaps.

Yep. No surprise there. Villa didn't have to try too hard to win.
Unless David Dunn is going to show Heskey & Forssell how to put the ball in the net (something he almost did with his second touch) then we'll be fighting Everton at the end of the season.
Next games: Blackburn & Everton ... DEAD BY DAWN, DEAD BY DAWN !
-
I must just get this out of the way in advance.
It's about time The Blues did not humiliate The Villa.
Sadly it looks like I'll be watching it alone on a dodgy satellite pub screen somewhere in the Northern Hemisphere.
And a note of impending doom, it seems to be National Shite Referee Red Card Bonanza Weekend.
Yes, there appears to be some sort of "rule" that suggests sending a player off if he is the last defender. No, Mark Hughes, Cisse was not "going away from goal".
However, in the light of Essien's nasty tackle only deserving yellow, NONE of those players sent off yesterday deserved red.
Note to FA (where my friend Taz works and tells me that Nicky Butt's one swearword is worse than Wayne Rooney's torrent of abuse only because the referee in the latter case chose not to report him):
VIOLENT tackles likely to end careers are worthy of red cards.
Making a genuine attempt to tackle someone who then develops "weak knees" is not.

Oh dear. #1.
and
Oh dear. #2.
At least with the meal there'll be other things to do.
Remember me saying I didn't want to announce guests too early for theBrighton Comic Expo because the Americans have a frighteningly high
dropout rate? Well, while the UK side's going from strength to
strength and I'm still awaiting replies from a few heavy hitters,
here's some bad news I've just received...
"When my old friend Dez told me he was organizing a major European media
event, I told him I wanted to be part of the action because it's been
years since I visited with my UK friends and fans. We made a plan, but
unfortunately a family crisis interceded, making an appearance at this
show impossible.
"However, there's always next year and if any of you are interested in
butting heads with me about comics, art, pulps, movies, and all the
things we love and hate, make it a point to mention it to the Skinn
man and I'll do my best to make the next show. Wish I could be on tap
for this one, but I know you'll all do your damnedest to have a great
time without me! My regards to everyone and hope to see you next year."
... Jim Steranko
What a shame he can't.
Pesky American guests.
-
'ere! Leave it out!
-
No, I merely took the two who are not like all the rest.
-
American Gothic on DVD !
Hoorah ! I shall now make someone a gift of the old VHS recordings I made.

Let all of us who remember this great series remenisce and hope that one day Sam Raimi and Gary Cole will return to Trinity.
-
Everyone assumes that all his lead characters do, but he's nothing like Spider Jerusalem or Jenny Sparks.
-
oops managed to miss the Garth one off, I've put it back in.
-
Buy it for your girlfriend and then ask her to frame it and put it above her bed.
-
He sounds exactly like Mike Carey after a pint.
Except that:
Alan Moore had him speaking like Michael Caine,
Jamie Delano had him speaking like Bernard Hepton,
Garth Ennis had him speaking like Shane MacGowan before the teeth/booze,
Paul Jenkins had him speaking like Ricky Tomlinson,
Warren Ellis had him speaking like Warren Ellis.
And Brian Azzarello had him speaking like James Marsters doing John Lennon.
-
I know there's a few Punisher fans in the house, but I am very pleased with the price on this:

Now HOW COME no-one's bidding on the very nice Tim Bradstreet print?
I'm having it if it goes unsold !

Besides a tortuous double negative, that story does not say what they say it does.

Despite earning an impressive $229.6 million worldwide, on a budget of $100 million, Keanu Reeves tells ComingSoon.net/SuperheroHype.com that there's a good chance there won't be a sequel to Constantine.
"I would do that in a second," he told us before saying how much he liked the storyline from the first movie. But he wasn't so sure about a sequel happening.
"They're producers, so they have to be optimistic. It's not up to me, man. It's up to whomever wants to provide the resources to make that movie. I don't think Warner Bros. is going to do it. I don't think it makes fiscal sense for them, because they don't feel it will make money."

Keanu Reeves told SCI FI Wire that if there's going to be a sequel to his supernatural movie Constantine, they'll have to raise hell without him.
"Not with me," Reeves said flatly when asked about a sequel to the movie about reluctant demon-fighter John Constantine during an interview at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Reeves said that he liked the character and thought it was a well-rounded part, but that the film version of the Hellblazer series from DC/Vertigo comics wasn't enough of a moneymaker to warrant a sequel. The movie made $75 million domestically and more than double that overseas, but cost Warner Brothers about $100 million to make.
Is there any hope for Constantine 2? "No," Reeves said. "We didn't quite make it."

Let's not blame Gaiman for "Books of MagicK", Ade. He gets a little envelope every month that he takes a glance at between sips of coffee and reading the paper, writes "Love it! Neil" on some receipt laying around the table, puts it back in the envelope and sends it on to Vertigo offices.
I'm still inclined to blame him.
But if you must, replace the offending phrase with :
HAVE YOU READ 1602?
-
He needs to be pro-life so as there's more people for him to accidentally kill.
-
My recent experiences with Books of Magick and Swamp Thing deter me from ever trying to own them all.
I stopped buying every Vertigo book with Totems, which has a Constantine appearance. Duncan Fegredo sold me an ace double page spread from the book.

Here it is at last !

Just so the new bugs can get it out of their system.
If I've detected one Elite Rule around here it is that no-one agrees and no-one claims everyone else is wrong. Except in jest.
NB except for Tom, I have excluded many people for whom English is not the first language, because they often come across as dicks when they are just having trouble with the tonguing.
Which of you bastards is not voting for me.
