so, lockdown/isolation/general covid stuff has got me thinking- I know quite a few of us have primary age kids now and I wonder if any of them fancy having a (probably sporadic) UK penpal. 
 

Romana is 7 now and loves video games, coding, Roblox, Minecraft etc and she’s really into making friends from all over so if anyone fancies getting a letter from her it’s be really sweet.

It was not - now we are an all female household (excluding pets) we don’t have that problem.

I’ve been cutting my own hair for 6 years now this is NOT new to me

I did take my bathroom sink apart, remove the S bend, remove a blockage and replace it so I’m feeling AWESOME. 

Our school shut as soon as lockdown happened so it’s been weeks of online training which is ok in parts. I’m really interested in the mental and emotional health and well-being of kids so I’m focussing on that as what we are seeing now is so much worse than at anytime since I’ve worked with PRU kids. 
 

Romana has decided she is on holiday and become obsessed with Roblox and Minecraft and the YouTubers who play them. Thankfully she is very far ahead academically so she’s not missing much I suppose but she is also a massive pain in the arse most of the time as only little kids can be. Luckily her dad was furloughed so he took her quite regularly which gave me a break and gave him extra time with her. 
 

We’ve had some nice weather so I’ve been sorting out the garden- that’s been nice and I’m lucky that (afaik) everyone I know is healthy and well. I have a friend I am missing quite a lot but such is life. 
 

thankfully having a child means I’ve had fuck all of a life for the last 6 years so I’m not really missing anything and it’s nice not to have the stress of work. Gotta stay positive. 

Glad people are well. I am going crazy at home with this child who is like a fucking teenager at the grand old age of six but this morning me, her two idiot beagles and a couple of cats had a lazy morning in my bed so it’s ok. 
 

I do not know when she or I will be back at school but we had sunshine last week and I did loads in my garden so that took the edge off.

I am indeed, my dear friends, just in lockdown and working from home whilst keeping a 6 year old maniac amused with Minecraft (and now Roblox).

She is an absolute gem, Tony, shRP a  tack brimful of confidence,  and funny as fuck* it's a shame you're not on insta as that's my social media these days. 

Many changes have occurred in my life since I was last a regular here but we rumble on.

*She was making me actually cry with laughter the other night by making up jokes that were all a variation on "WHAT PLANET HAS A HOLE IN IT? URANUS!"
