Thanks After a few washes it's been doing this blue-at-the-roots-purple-at-the ends sort of thing. I did an uneven bleach job, ah well.
Congrats to rak too!

Watched Happiness. It's a different kind of "B" movie, for black comedy Set in New Jersey, complete with obscene phone calls, dismemberment, pedophilia, and the immigrant experience. Really loved it, very witty.
Am on the hunt for Married/Unmarried, if any of you have seen it and can tell me how good/crap it is. I've grown very fond of Ben Daniels.

I don't know if Jack being the Butcher would hurt or help the Authority

How geeky would it sound, if I mentioned that I've read about that particular brand & colour of hair dye in an anime fanfic?
I wouldn't be surprised it was in a fic
I thought she was trying a new designer drug....WHAT.

Sitting around waiting for Special Effects Electric Blue to set in :)

Poor teeth and stomach. I hope you both feel better soon... Zhaan, maybe pinning a target to the opposite wall will make it more fun
I picked up a cold somewhere somehow, it started with some kind of throat irritation then it traveled to my head. Now my nose is just bleeding green.

Caught Stardust last night and it was totally excellent. There was not one moment where I was bored, annoyed*, disappointed or unconvinced of the quality of the show. probably the best movie I've seen since Pan's Labrynth, but I don't watch a whole lot of movies.
Same! I especially liked Michelle Pfeiffer, she does wonderful villains. Lots of differences from the books as usual, but the movie actually made me want to go back and read the novel. I tried reading it years ago and stopped about 1/3 of the way because all I remember was being bored :) Now I eagerly want to get a few people together to do a costume group of Septimus, Primus, and their brothers.

I like it up as it grants all a better view of your lovely smile
Plus your unnaturally luminescent skin that seems to give off it's own light. :D
So that's the secret of magic.

I've never really thought of him having any "power" as such, beyond maybe a slightly heightened sensitivity to supernatural presences. He's just an ordinary bloke who's picked up some insider knowledge (and a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing). He'll go out and recruit allies with "real" powers as and when he needs them.
The roulette scene in 232 I think characterizes John's magic, where he says it doesn't matter where the ball actually lands as long as they see what he wants them to see. It reminds me of a scene in Lucky Number Slevin, when Mr. Goodkat explains "A Kansas City Shuffle is when everybody looks right, and you go left."

David Strathairn's character was like, "I want those cameras at Waterloo NOW." Someone on his staff typed maybe two lines into a computer and BAM the real time feed showed up on monitors 2 and 3.

Saw The Bourne Ultimatum last night.
For you guys across the pond... Waterloo Station; can the CIA really tap your surveillance system

Feel free to call me Bonnie too 8-)

Happy birthday! Hope you had a good time.

It's fine, thanks
Cool on getting published too! Though that restroom situation sounds like complete crap.

Considering the discussion on the last two or three pages, I think it's less a matter of canon now and more a matter of it being in character or not. Obviously I think an open sexuality is in character for John, and deserves a little exposure alongside the many women we always get to see riding him cowgirl on panel 8-)

Good to hear it, though I hope your toothache goes down.
I speared myself with a sewing needle, but there wasn't enough blood so I didn't take a picture.

I'm not drunk. No really. But I made these over Easter Weekend at a bar, it was like Arts&Crafts night or something. I still have them sitting by my computer.

I completely buy that -- in fact, you summed up my opinion on the subject better than I did.
So do I, and knowing that's how Andy Diggle feels... I'm still wondering if we'll get to see some of that attitude in his run I agree with Fire Griffin and feel like he's renewed John back to his cocksure days. It's an opportunity that fits within the story and character's confidence to expand upon that. I'd like to point out I'm not asking for man-on-man smut (I'll bet it still looks that way, ah well), I just wish more writers would emphasize that open aspect of John's personality. It's only been implied, rarely cemented on panel, and with Azzarello's run it was aggressive and shoehorned as Rassmguy said. I think Andy Diggle can do much better.

Okay but after I finish this course first!

(“Am I bisexual? More importantly, is this fun?”)
My favorite response :)
Cross it over with American Virgin, I dare you.You mean Ashes and Dust wasn't a prequel to Going Down??

I could stand to get a little deltoid workout.
Good luck with the credit card thing too.

It's not loading for me in either Opera or IE. Don't suppose you can upload the pics to Photobucket or something..?

Great pictures, Akhira. Love the monkey shot (but I hate when the bastards come bugging you at temples).
