When The Flash was 85p from FP. £1,80 now. Fucking DC.

Would you prefer to see in the upcoming run more reality based stories, or the more fantastical bent that MC has been on the past couple of years?
Myfeeling is that while MC's run has been very entertaining, and a good antidote to all that House of Infinite Crisis Ultimate shite crossover shite, the title needs to get back on the ground again, and give JC a chance to mingle in the 'real world' again. A la Ennis and Ellis.
Lets look at this way, there's only so many demons I can take before I want to see JC talk smak to some idiot and then get pissed in the pub with Chas. Get some of the dirt and grit under JC's fingers agiain before he takes on the next mystical threat.
What do you guys want to see? Dundgeons & Dragons or Ken Loach meets The Omen.

Will forward to my mate. Don't know about the promo pin. I can get you a 'film that can't be mentioned' BB cap) I was thinking more in the way of origional HB art. Will Simpson in particular. I know your are a huge fan (as is my mate) and he could probably help out.
-
John, let me know what HB stuff your are looking for (rare stuff) and I know someone who might be able to help you out in that dept...
-
Kris, was it a good turn out? Hopeboth Mikes did well out of it!
-
It's definetly the Saturday Josh, if you are in any doubt, click over to the Asylum site and e-mail Mike. He'll sort you out OK.
Cheers,
Craig

PS. Fprgot to mention that there will probably be a piss up with his in the pub afterwards for anyone who attends...
-
Shame though, the Loosers is a fucking good comic. Anyone averse to Jock doing a few issues of HB? Not me...

hellblazer writer Mike Carey will be signing in Asylum Boks and Games in Aberdeen next Saturday 22 July.
He will be doing an in-store signing and will last all day.
Telephone: 01224 574637
Ask for Mike (the owner) and he will fill you in on all the details!
Mike Carrey is a friend of the store, so any HB fans making a special trip should find themselves welcome and looked after.
Also on sale will be origional Hellblazer art and some signed issues by Delano and Mark Buckingham.
Cheers,
Craig

I know this is a bit of a cheek. My mate has just started a MSG board at his site and is in need of a bit of traffic to get things going.
Could you please visit and leave a msg.
It is a forum for a comic store. The guy who owns it is a huge HB fan, and it will be a cool board to hang out on. Could you please give the board a bit of a jump start?
Mods: Please allow this thread and if it's Ok, visit the board youself and post. You need to register, but it takes 2 mins>
Here's the link:
Many thanks, CG

Sin City will be the mutts nuts. Although, it should have been Clint Eastwood, and not Bruce Willis that played Hartigan.
-
Go here for origional HB art. Type in Hellblazer and off you go.
Cheers,
Craig

It seems as if the VERTIGO editors are trying to do for HB what DC did for Detective a few years ago when they put Greg Rucka on Detective Comics. That worked out well (although if Darwyn Cooke had drawn it, it could have been great instead of merly good) Should be fun.
-
The new run should be a good pallet (sp?) cleanser after the movie and the (highly enjoyable) Carrey run. HB has it's roots in social and character based fiction. Delano, Ennis, Ellis, ect . While the demons destroy earth angle is great fun, the title is in need of tweaking and a different perspective on John.
Nobody here wants the 'Batman' syndrome to happen, where a great character is dulited or weakned by just going through the motions month in, month out.
Cheers,
Craig

He may be a Liverpool fan, but after Celtic put them out of the UEFA Cup he switched allegences:D

Yeah, there's not a hell of a lot to get excited about these days in comics. Powers, DD, HB, 7Soldiers, anything Darwyn Cooke does, Loeb and Sale's Bat stuff, Planetary, Ast X and that's it. Slim pickin's I'm affraid.
Nest time you are in Asylum ask for Mike. He's a huge HB fan, sells origional art from the comic and he's a really good mate of Mike Carrey. I believe Carey is doing a signing for him in a couple of months. Mike (asylum) is a mate of mine and will take care of all your HB needs.
Craig the pimp...

Aye,
There's 50 thousand demons every week at a certain football club. :D
Constantine v Rangers FC.
And Chick Young looks like the wee demons from Constantine...
They don't stand a chance...
Kris, what comic shop in Aberdeen do you go to. I lived there for 5 years and I always (and still do via mail order) go to Asylum in Adelphi. It was Mike there who got me to read HB.
Cheers,
Craig

I LOVE Carey, but amen to that.

Coming from you Tim that's cool. I love your covers on both HB and Punisher.
My take on HB is the same as I had for Transmet. The sci-fi (read Magik for HB) was the icing on the cake, what kept me reading were the characters and stories. All the demons in the world ain't going to save a story if there is no meat around the bones. Hopefully we'll see a few trips to the pub (especailly when John visits Glasgow. Hope he's a Celtic fan :D!!!) and John actually being a manipulating, cheating, coniving b@$t@rd.
Cheers,
Craig

This really felt like classic Hellblazer.
We need an angry Hellblazer title right now.
