I'll fit in continuity somehow, even if I have to pretend the book is slightly different than what's actually printed (like Dad's extra arm).

How does this make more sense if it's set before 'Hard Time'?

Uh, 'cause I misread one of your earlier posts. :unsure:

I think that was just a gag about the number of hugely-famous movie star types who live in LA - Chas was being starstruck, and was assuming the house (a pretty opulent-looking LA mansion, after all) belonged to some famous celebrity or other. John was drily putting him down, playing it cool in his usual manner. Carey presumably left the identity of said celebrity non-specific so readers could fill in their own candidate. Personally, I'm choosing to believe it was Keanu Reeves. ;)

I assumed it was S.W. Manor's house, until I read that the story makes more sense if it takes places before "Hard Time."
