Reading '100 Years of Solitude', and its tempting to label it a gap year book, but that doesn't diminish the enjoyment I'm getting from it.
My personal favourite at the moment is david Mitchell(Ghostwritten, Number9dream and Cloud Atlas) the guy sems to write every genre in exsistence with a fresh and original feel, in the same book! Anyone else feeling him, don't let the fact he was featured on Richard and judy's book club scare you off.
Wanna get my hands on 'Haunted' by Chuck Palahnuik a book of short stories that features 'Guts', the only one of them I've read, and was mentioned earlier in the thread.
PS Could anyone reccomend where to start with Harlan Ellison, it's about time I got round to him
