  1. Rogan!! Good to see ya around man, been a age. And will do as soon as I catch up on things. Been so busy with RL, family problems. Grandmother has a couple major surgeries. So yeah, things got hectic for a couple years. But I was going through my books and comics and ran across my Hellblazer stuff and got to missing this place. So...to coin a quote.

    I'm Back.

I'd type more, but I gotta go soon. Work and all. I'll post in when I get back. Cheers.

  2. Lou...I gotta agree. In my opinion the best GR series was Ghost Rider/Blaze: Spirits of Vengeace. Steel Wind and Centurious came back and Johnny was in his best form since the GR days. Hellfire weapons and a little bit of magic.

And a trench coat and cigs. Nuff said.

  3. Yeah...it was the John Blaze era the first one. The GR continuity is more messed up than X-men. First you had Blaze, the his brother Dan Ketch, then Blaze again. Add in writers changing it all at the drop of a hat.

    typical Marvel.

    Bleeding bastards.

  4. Hey John, check any comic shop y' might be able to find the original series that came out in the latr 70's that's roughly what the movie is based after. And some of the 90's series is good, except the stuff donce by Ivan Velez Jr... And get Ennis's LS as well.

  5. I have to say Ghost Rider is what got me involved with the supernatural side of comic books. First the Rider, then any other mystically inclined comic (Nightstalkers, Blade) which led me to Hellblazer. Parts of the series were good but when one writer leaves and another comes in with the big plan of 'Let's redo the whole character to fit MY way of doing things.' Hell no...it killed it for me. Now Ennis his LS was awesome...so I'm holding out hope.

    As for the movie....I'll see.

  6. He did...but it's all up the the writer to interpt it as he does. So part of John could still love Kit..or love the memories. And Mr. Shirley as you said they're Immortals and always around in some form or another. So heck...Demon JC could pop in. Ya never know.

  7. I'm seeing that. I covers Carey's run pretty well. But no mention of the events of when Nergal returned and Cherly died. So yeah...it's as you put it. Reason I was wondering was seeing Rich, one of Jenkin's characters, running around in the opening and ending of the book. Up until the mention of the Red Sepulchre and the 'Staring at the Wall' events I was confused..

  8. Hey y'all. Decided to delurk and say what I gots to say 'bout 'War Lord'. And I did like it meself. Of course the timeline part had me confused since this seems to take place before his kids went on their rampage. But not that I mind..... And I hope the other Hellblazer novels are as good when they come out, it not better.
