the scene in which morgan put himself back in his cell after his confrontation with eastman when he told morgan the door was unlocked the whole time, was to me the most splendidly metaphorical transcendent scene of the entire series. morgan could have been rick, abraham, carol, michonne - he represents them all, their struggle to remain human/regain their humanity, to come back. and we all know "coming back" is the cornerstone theme of the entire show. you die, you come back a zombie, and by living in a world of zombies, you lose you humanity in all the violence. and that was the central plot of the episode when rick finds the hopeless woman in the woods outside the prison. she says you don't get to come back, but rick even argued that point with the governor before the attack. so when morgan puts himself back in that cell, to me it represented what the whole show is all about. they even lived in a prison, for cryin out loud. ]

I think season 2 of Fargo is even better than season 1 was, and 1 was outstanding. I can't wait for each episode.

We finally got to True Detective #2

Half way through.

I like it. A couple of major plot items were hammered home by indelicate foreshadowing but I like the dynamic between McAdams and Farrell.

the leftovers has kicked into the high gear it hit last year after dragging through 3 episodes. eps 4 and 5 are stellar!

the preview made it look awful. i will watch the first one, but i'm dreading it.

i totally disagree. that was one of my favorite episodes of the whole series!

i thought the addition of the joker would make this show better and more compelling, but I've already given up on it.
