    This is a similar discussion to one we had when Vertigo dropped the Constanteen ball with two inadequate collections - actually one inadequate one and one complete and utter pile of arsebiscuits one.

     

    Which two are you referring to there?

     

    And can you translate "arsebiscuits" for us Americans? :lol:

    I just got finished reading HB #59-61 (via James' link, thanks!) and have a question.

     

    Is the sigil that JC cut into Chantinelle's soul like the one he cut into the Fuckpig's (Son Of Man), and if so won't it heal within 2-3 years like FP's did, so that FotF would then be able to find Ellie?

     

    Or did this already happen, and if so what issue(s)?

    Hey all.

     

    I read the Moore ST w/Constantine when they first came out, then read Original Sins when it first came out. But since then dropped comix until this past Nov, when I've been plowing through all the Constantine TPBs and the last 50 or so issues.

     

    So that's my background, and thanks one and all for this website, forum, and all the Q&A.

     

    Now here's my questions (May be spoilers below):

     

    - In Good Intentions, I didn't think John had sex w/the dog, though it looks like some one this board do. Dickie says that JC is just "a prop", and JC asks about the dog's "co star". Am I misunderstanding something here?

     

    - Also in Good Intentions, I understand that the whole town is involved in making the films, but why are the girls naked and chained up outside when they're not filming? Why not just be drunk, watching football on the couch until the cameras roll?

     

    - In Ashes and Dust, what's the deal with Bruce ... excuse me, Stanely Manor feeding the kid to the bats? I get the metaphor, but what's his motivation for doing that? And why all the confession to the priest (other than the plot device)?

     

    - Also in Ashes and Dust, why exactly does Ritchie kill/burn himself? For some reason I never got that. Thanks for the annotations, w/out which I would have been really lost in this arc.

     

    - In Red Sepluchre (#180?), why did DC/Vertigo kill the White Stripes from the front of Gemma's shirt on the cover? (or is that Angie?).

     

    - FWIW, I love the scene when John gets back to Cheryl's flat in #175 ... Cheryl's gap tooth mouth, John's self-satisfaction ("Came in under the water..."), just screams working class to me.

     

    - When Clarice says "chin chin" (various issues), just what is that? Some sort of upper-class British toast?

     

    - In Son of Man, how does the FuckPig escape Ronnie's body when he/it gets shot in the head? I understand that the body doesn't grow, he's got to feed it blood to keep it from rotting, but it was Ronnie's body that the demon was bound to, not just a balloon-like skin/shell/costume (e.g. bones and all). Seems to me, if he can shed it that easliy, then he should have been able to slip in and out of it all along. Or am I reading too much into this? :D

     

    - James, thanks for posting #59-61. Any more HB issues posted online?

     

    - Speaking of which, I picked up most of my TPBs via EBay, and noticed people selling ALL issues of HB scanned and burned onto a CD. Why would DC/TWX/EBay let them get away w/that?

     

    One thing about catching up w/JC and HB, it sure has increased my consumption of pints of beer!
