hello all, i'm jimmy.i write ,draw ,make music and avoid real jobs.i'm in toronto at the moment,but i live in manchester too.born in scotland ,dual citizenship,so i go back and forth from canada to the uk.planning a trip to peru to take ayahuasca[shamanic psychedelic].got a new band recently and we're doing southern gothic weird folk america type stuff.i'll post a few tracks next month.oh and i'm thirty.
as for hellblazer,i picked up a black and white reprint of issues 11 to 14 when i was about twelve,fascinating and nauseating to my little self.then i ran into him reading swamp thing.then at about 17 ,preacher led me back to garth ennis run,which i loved cause i was heading into a boozed up pogues,billy bragg and tom waits phase.but i can see now how young ennis was when he was writing it.so i'd say delano feels the most authentic,garth's got the piss and vinegar,jenkins was comfy,ellis i loved but it ruined it to have it cut short,i wanted to see what his next long story would be like.didn't read azzarello,cause it didn't seem british enough.reaaly enjoyed the start of carey's run,missed alot of it cause i was busy getting wrecked and doing shrooms in platt fields and playing the cowboy for pretty english girls etc.skipped mina ,liked diggle's start but then felt it was constantine by numbers a bit after that.enjoying milligan alot,i'm gettin into the art,but i usually like it grittier for hellblaze.the story does take its time like shade did,but i think it's really witty.probably the funniest constantine's ever been. anyway,good to be here ,cheers
