Just to make it clear, I'm not really a fan of A Serbian Film [though not because of its grossness, but because it uses it in such a shallow way, all the while pretending to be a deep metaphor for the horrors this country has lived through/wrought], I was just riffing on that old joke from the Simpsons:

Ade - please keep us posted re: Mozart in the Jungle, if you end up watching more. I'm thinking of getting my mom that show to watch, since she loves the behind the scenes world of classical music and good drama. I hoped it was somewhat Mad Men-ish.

Call me the Grinch, but I wasn't feeling this one [though I mostly liked Frosty Claus]. Still, wasn't catastrophically bad, and it did get me to rewatch that Rick & Morty episode. So, meh humbug.

Here it's not Christmas yet, but the mood/shopping/decorations/crowds are there from mid-December, and extend well into the new year [orthodox Xhristmas is on the 7th, and "Serbian new year's" on the 13th, and then there are several more holidays until february]. Went out to the movies on a double date with the GF and my kum and his wife ["kum" is kinda like the blanket term for both the best man and the godfather, and it swings both ways - I'm his kum, and he is mine, and if I get married, I can get another one]. We watched the third Hobbit flick. It wasn't very good, but I had a good giggle at all the serious and crappy scenes [much to the chagrin of several hardcore Tolkinites], and I remembered to go to the loo before the movie started, so we'll put it down as a "win". Loved seeing my kum at last, since he and the missus live abroad, doing 2-year tours in misc. countries, teaching kids of diplomats in private schools.

So anyway, I'm rambling, but I'm eagerly awaiting New Year's, have a small party planned with several closest friends, and we'll all be glad to leave this year behind us. Hope you guys are all having fun and getting some rest. [Pooks, your kid is super adorable, and great of you to try and foster some charitable customs with her. Christian - looking good, my mad, and your cat story was very touching. And I love all the rest of you guys, just don't have anything special to add.]

It was a digital signature of the guy who used to do pirated scans of most Vertigo comics, back in the day.

Since the package I ordered still hasn't arrived, my designated gift-receiver will most likely be celebrating Orthodox Christmas this year.

I've finally got round to putting this up there, Chas, and it probably needs some work.

If you have the original file in an easy to manipulate format, the background would be better a smokey bluey grey (especially around Matt Ryan's head). And a bit of what Rogan said.

 

You can make the image twice as long, maybe add in a couple of Johns and overlay the Constantines a bit less, too. As if they are in an identity parade rather than a procession.
