I'll put in another nomination for the two Fables TPBs; it's the best comic Vertgo are presently publishing, as well as having actually gained a litle mainstream exposure. (It was mentioned on Radio 4, believe it or not.)

 

What show? And what was the context?

1,001 Nights of Snowfall got a brief plug on the Today Programme one morning from Brian K Vaughn, who was doing an interview to promote Pride of Baghdad. The series has also been mentioned in a brief summary of Vertigo by someone justifying reading comics on of Radio 4's literary review programmes. If memory serves it may have been Stephen Fry.

If it's the Ghost Light I'm thinking of, you've no chance, unless you listen to the commentary, where the writer helpfully expains all the things he missed out of the script.
