Why do you hate Big old red ?
It's just a "personality" conflict. He just sort of rubs me the wrong way, I guess.

I love the concept of Hellboy, as far as the origins and stuff. But I hate the character himself. Despite that, I really want to see this movie. I simply looks awesome, visually speaking.

I'd love to see our take on Neil Gaiman's Sandman.

I'm also a big fan of mechanical pencils. You can get such a fine point, especially a .5 mm. I also like the various softer graphites. I like a pencil I use that's just a solid graphite, no wood. Monolith makes them, I think. I use an 8B for the really darks. But I'm having trouble finding them lately, so I've switched temporarily to the old trusty Ebony Jet Black, extra smooth.
You do good work, Erue. It's off the beaten path!

Read and enjoyed both Shirley "Hellblazer" novels. Not the best Hellblazer that's out there, but better than some. Mike Carey's "Devil you Know" was an alright read. I have to agree I wish he could have just written a Constantine novel, because this was so close it was almost a tease. But it was good. It actually got better the further in I got. I almost gave up at the beginning, but I'm glad I kept at it.

Finally got my hands on "The Devil You Know" by Mike Carey. It's finally available in the States. I do like it, but it seems like he tries a bit hard to have awesome quirky descriptions of things. It's cool though. I am enjoying it.

Well, it's not enforced by laws (back in the day when we had IMAX, IMAX did not have any intermissions) so it's pretty much illegal to stop a movie in the final 45 minutes so that some people will be inclined to go buy a snack.
It's illegal because it's not enforced by laws?
I highlighted the parts you forgot to do so yourself.
Did I mention the ticket and snack prices are overpriced?
Tickets are pretty ridiulous here in the states as well, but the price of drinks and snacks has become absurd. Literally triple what you'd pay anywhere else.

I'm 35 years old, and never been to a film with an intermission. They just don't happen here in the States as far as I know.

I have a good feeling that the 3 hours will be well spent. My only concern is that I ALWAYS need to piss when I'm at the theatre, no matter what I do. I thought I was going to rupture during Superman Returns. Maybe this time I'll bring a wide mouth bottle with me.

You've got such a unique style, and your subjects are completely your own. I really like it a lot.

Metallica S&M
I actually love this album. I hate it when hardcore Metallica fans bash it. I thought it showed that they were actually pretty damn great musicians.

I'm nearly finished with "Heart Shaped Box", by Joe Hill, Stephen King's son, under a pseudonym. Not too shabby. It's a good old fashioned ghost story.

There's a whole blog on Tim Bradstreet's MySpace (dont' ask...) about how he's leaving the Punisher.
I miss his Hellblazer as it is. The whole thing makes me sad.

I'm so excited about this movie it's embarrassing.

Puscifer: DoZo
Maynard James Keenan is a genius.

Yes, I enjoyed Smoke & Mirrors more than Fragile Things also.
Smoke & Mirrors contains a lot of my favourite Neil Gaiman works.
There are quite a few good stories in Fragile Things though.
Like most short fiction collections, you'll find that the stories are hit and miss, and tastes always vary.
I really liked the stories "Closing Time" and "Bitter Grounds".
I finished the book last night. I found that I enjoyed reading the last two stories the most, Murder Mysteries and Snow Glass Apples. Particularly Murder Mysteries.
I'm in between new books now, so I'm going back and reading a Lee Child novel, Tripwire.
-
I really like Chivalry, the story in the introduction, and The Price.
I'm not quite done, but those two stories have been my favorite so far as well.
-
I'm reading Fragile Things by Neil Gaiman... It's a collection of short stories, and I just began reading, so I really don't have an opinion yet. Has any of you read that?
I read it. It had some goodish stories in it. The end story has Shadow from American Gods in it, so that's cool. I'm actually enjoying his Smoke and Mirrors a bit more.

Reading Smoke and Mirrors. It's an earlier short stories collection from Neil Gaiman. Not too shabby so far.

A mishmash of every White Zombie and Rob Zombie album. Good to draw to.

I was a bit disappointed in Anansi Boys because I wanted more American Gods, (which would be my favorite book if forced to pick one). But Anansi Boys was a decent book. I recently read his Fragile Things, which had a few good stories in it. I made certain to read it because I'd seen that it had a story of American Gods' Shadow in it. That story was okay.

I concur with Mark's Alex Ross rants when it comes to the Ross Batman.
Hooray, that means I don't have to do it this time.
I love the Ross Batman. His Superman and Batman are iconic. I do however hate his take on Punisher. I've only seen one by him, but it was one too many. I don't think he'd do that great of a Constantine, either.
His sting like Constantine didn't look bad at all, see that Alan Moore tribute painting he did.
I adore Ross's Superman and most of his JLA cast, personally it's really just his Batman (And unsexy Wonder Woman ).
Bats needs more cape and less overweight man.
I didn't see his Alan Moore tribute. I need to look for it.
(3 minutes later...) Oh yeah!! I forgot all about that painting. It was good. Especially for an early, younger Constantine.

How many bloody Jasons are there on this board anyway? At least three. And I think we should all use the Kermit avatar ;)
I'm not sure if you know it, but my name is Jason, too.
