What if he turns up as the abandoned nephew? And comes upon John openly weeping. Again. Some more. Perhaps at a newly-erected monument to his never-born twin sister?
Help us, Tommy Taylor; You're our only hope.

Pandora's pre-built "Halloween Radio" station. Lots of Danny Elfman, lots of novelty-album cheese.

Out of morbid curiosity, I went back to my first post here, which contains the following:
My life would be easier if DC/Vertigo would just issue some trades Jenkins's run & complete Delano's.Seven years later, and they're almost halfway there!
Thanks for the greetings, all!
KatieKathleen, I'm pretty fond of Ex Machina: banter, politics, Tony Harris's artwork, Commissioner Angotti, oh my! And if it turns out to be your cup of tea, the whole series has been collected.

Hope this is an appropriate thread for this! What's the word on Saucer Country? I like Ryan Kelly's art well enough that I'll definitely give it a look, but is it so good I need to catch up with the floppies yesterday or will it keep til trade? How are its odds of not being cancelled the moment I realize I like it stacking up?

Hi all! According to my profile, I made half a dozen posts here back in 2005 - probably in this very thread - and promptly fell off the face of the Earth. So, if I'm not entirely new, I figure I'm close enough as makes no odds. In the time since I first registered, I've graduated college, started and finished grad school, gotten a real job like grownup and/or a fool, and started squinting at the idea of buying a house in the dimly forseeable. John has been with me through it all (not literally, else I probably wouldn't be nearly so healthy or mildly well-adjusted, but I'm thinking folk hanging out here will know what I mean), and I so rarely meet anyone in 3d life or elsewhere online to talk comics in general or Hellblazer in particular. So, this time around, you may be stuck with me for awhile!

I love this show! Rob Thomas has been one of my favorite writers for years.
I even forgive them for that band appearance which has left that song lodged in my brain all week.
I'm a little irked that they seem to be toying with the idea of throwing Wallace into the love-triangle... err, square... storyline. I really just want their friendship to hold together. Though, to be fair, I'm not particularly big on the "Which boy should Veronica choose?!" angle to begin with. I agree that Duncan is about as interesting as drying mud this season. & while I love Logan, there is something bleak & twisted & broken inside that boy & he wouldn't be good for Veronica (or anyone else for that matter) right now.

I think that's fair to say... a few days out of sorts & full of liquor, but nothing so extreme as John's days as a wino.
Incidentally, this is the first I've heard about a prose novel... yea! I've always wondered how John would translate into that medium.

Yeah, I meant to ask if anyone had read them. There are first chapters & a couple of short stories on her website that I looked through to try to get a feel for her prose. I'm hopeful.

I'm going to miss Mike Carey, probably more than is healthy, but I'm rather excited to see a woman taking the reins of my favorite book.
The review of her prose fiction here: http://www.contemporarywriters.com/authors...26L474812627104 implies that she'll be able to write a horror story with a protagonist as complex as John, though I am curious what her take on the magic/supernatural elements will be.

Yeah, a new comics shop opened in my area last year & I switched to shopping there almost immediately, because I was tired of being looked at like some kind of museum exhibit whenever I walked into the older store.

I love Helblazer because I love John. I'm a sucker for a damaged, complex, caustically witty anti-hero & John fits the bill better than just about any character I can think of.

Hello all!
Newbie here. Sadly I do not know Mark.
I'm 21, a college student from Indiana, &, clearly, as I'm here, a fan of comics in general & John in particular. I'm also the only girl in my family with any interest in comics at all, Elektra.
I'm slowly but surely working on a complete collection of Hellblazer... though frankly, I'm not too fussed about getting the rest of the Azzarello run. My life would be easier if DC/Vertigo would just issue some trades Jenkins's run & complete Delano's.
I'm also far more excited about this pixelated Rick the vic avatar than I suspect is entirely normal.
How long has it been for you, then? When you jumped on until Feb. 2013

I haven't been reading all that long in the life of the comic - after reading Original Sins somewhere in the middle of Carey's run, I jumped onto the monthly at "Reasons To Be Cheerful" - but I have been reading for most of my adult life to this point. Hellblazer is the book that brought me into my comics shop for the first time.
According to the solicit, 300 is scheduled to come out on my birthday - worst present ever, DC!
