Seven sounds reasonable enough, although my record so far is five.

I've just seen over on IMDB that Matadoor, who I notice posted on the old site that he'd seen the film already, seems to think that the MPAA are giving it an R rating.
(He doesn't provide any evidence for this belief)

Yay!
Thanks Rogan, very nice.

I think that may have been true in the past Charlie, but it doesn't really happen that way now - folk are nowadays quite proud of their working class roots and/or regional accent.
However, I've found that as I moved further south, I had to speak more slowly and clearly, dropping a lot of words and phrases that folk just wouldn't understand, purely to make myself understood. Folk still say I've a very broad Scottish accent, but when I go back home I'm aware of how "posh" I sound. But then again, my mum & dad never let us grow up using "glaswegian-isms" that others used (stane, hame instead of stone, home, Glesga instead of Glasgow etc)
I've found that these days people don't need to change their accents, but they do need to be understood if they are going to be taken seriously.
For example in London, a working class or 'cockney' accent can involve speaking very fast, slurring words together, leaving words and sentences unfinished and using a lot of slang. If you talk like that in certain places people just aren't going to take you seriously because no one who isn't used to the way you speak can understand what you are trying to say and it sounds like you don't know what you are talking about anyway. If you want to be taken seriously you have to speak slower and more carefully and that automatically makes you sound more 'posh'. The actual accent you use doesn't matter these days, as long as you can speak clearly.

Ah - this seems to be the place to put in an order for a new avatar.
Is there any chance you could find me a Kim Possible picture, Rogan?
Ta very much.

Hi, I'm Double.
I'm from North London, an Arsenal supporter and I found my way over here from krix's website, which obviously marks me as a Keanu fan ("ducks to avoid incoming missiles").
I've never been into comic books before, but I like the attention to detail in these ones. Reminds me of London in the 80's when I was at university. I've read Original Sins (liked it) and Dangerous Habits (loved it), and I've ordered Fear and Loathing but it seems I'll have to wait 4 - 6 weeks for it to be dispatched.
I'm looking forward to the film, which despite peoples misgivings which I've read about looks like it might be fairly decent. Though even I, as a newcomer, can see that they've changed the character and that must be hard on long term readers of the comic.
I'm not at all sure about this avatar. Far, far too girly but its the best I could find for now.

Club Keanu have just put up a picture supposedly taken on the set yesterday.
Of course it doesn't prove anything, and it could be an old picture wrongly dated.
