  1. Nah, that'll be Saul.

Actually James, that is in fact the allmighty CHAS, red eyes and all.

What the fuck does he have red eyes for you ask?

I think you gotta wait until 203 to find out.

I was about to say something about that cover to 204, that the scans here on the string were WAY too dark. That was a problem on my end but it's fixed now. Oddly, just before I posted this the scans seem to have been corrected and look to be accurate.

How in God's green asshole is that possible?

I'll send the corrected version to JMc just to be sure, as well as a fresh new scan of issue 205.

In other news Johnny pooh, I've included a quick link and a blurb for STRAIGHT TO HELL on the main page of my website. Why I'd never done this before still eludes my often smoke-filled head.

Cheers to the gang and to RED who makes graphitti history on the cover.

  2. There's a few thousand pictures of Rogan on this thread, if you're looking for inspiration. Then again, that may not be a good idea - this might be a horror comic but you don't want to scare any kids coming into the shop. Especially with this one. Aaarghh!

Oh, for the love of God!

A true testament to why brother and sister should never mate ;?

C'mon Rogan, I gotta take a shot. You posted the pictures after all.

It just invites the jabs. ;)

  3. Do you have any sway over the new editor? I'd kill to get Bermejo back on Hellblazer, assuming they ever prise him off the Batbooks.

Well we just lost the allmighty Will Dennis (lost in an editorial change, that is) a few months ago. His last editorial issue was 200.

Now we got a chap name of Jon Vankin in the fold. Each month we get more comfortable. Surely I have sway but Lee, as you concluded, is entrenched with current projects. The one thing I know for sure is that Lee absolutely loves Hellblazer. He knows all he has to do is ask and they will throw him an issue or two, but that is far down the road for now. Everytime I see him I put it to him . . . So, When you coming back for a few ya bastard?

Seriously though, Lee would love to do more, it's just a matter of scheduling. I will put the spurs to Vankin and see what we can work out. I'd love to have him back too, obviously.

    John Milton  PARADISE LOST

    Nice pull Ade.

No wonder I liked it so much.

    Thanks mon.

Now I gotta find a copy of Paradise Lost. Can't believe that book has elluded me all these years.

  5. spwaking of Mr. Bradstreet, where's my custom NO-Prize (or a Cover-mention) for putting up the Chas Chandler Biopic...?

Aww, Rogan, you caught me. I may have overlooked the contribution in terms of the issue nod since your efforts were so incredibly massive. I got Red in there because of his/her kind defense of my honor concerning a matter of "slight Bradstreet bashing". I simply missed the forrest for the trees there mate.

Trust me, no good deed goes unrewarded in my book. You will get your homage sir.

But where and and when will be a mystery for now.

    On topic -

All His Engines has me sold on the title alone.

Call me literarily challenged (If I may use such a word . . .or even SPELL such a word), but is this a quote from something?

    I jus love that title.

Story looks fun and Manco's art looks very, very nice. I do appreciate an artist who understands grit and darkness. It has been mentioned here before in this string but it is refreshing to have an artist on this book who "gets it". It doesn't matter if it's London, New York, or Prague. This book exists in the shadowed underbelly of a gritty, urban metropolis. The art should reflect that to get the mood right. Manco delivers in spades.

I also find it nice that his Constantine feels like the version I portray on the covers. In my estimation (Lee Bermejo not included), its the first time the book has seemed to have perfect continuity, inside and out, during my run which started with #134.

    Welcome aboard Leo.
