    why are you wary of Morrison, Timmy?

     

    Sorry Rogan I missed your question earlier, limited computer time ya see? Morrisson just isn't my cup of tea...a little too "out there" for my tastes. Ask any body, I am all about realism, in my art, in my fiction, in my comics, I guess that is why I can't get behind spandexy types either. Now magic, demons, angels, evil, horror...that crap is REAL!

    I don't hate him Chuckles. I do think he needs to step down though. I think it would be gracious of him and a chance to live out a few days without the weight of the world's largest Christian faction weighing upon his shoulders.

    I'd like to see Son of Man done with a big budget. Full on gore, glib comments, looking at the camera the whole shebang. Imagine the FX. Imagine Reeves attempting to pull off the smart-arsed back handed comments while looking straight into the camera.

    I just re-read Son of Man two days ago...hense the new quote at the bottom of me posts....I loved it. I laughed several times out loud, people looking at me like I was crazy. Ennis really hits the nail on the head with his anti-religion, anti-Thatcher stance. We approach the subjects from different directions but end up arriving at the same place. My opinions of Garf have changed over the years.

    Early Frusin was the best in my opinion and I have given it quite a bit of thought. I used to hold Sean's work highest but Frusin during Azz's run really grew on me. There is one great Risso pic of JC in that Vertigo 10th Anniversary pic that I would love to put up here but alas, I have no method.

    Sounds like I'll be giving it a miss....though I'm a bitch for Risso.

     

    Me too John. Aside from the great art I can't really remember much from "Broken City" so that should tell you something. If you want the art this series is going pretty cheap singles wise.

    Gotta cover the smell of Mary Jane somehow.

     

    Last night I came home and the "across the hall" neighbors were really toking it up. They had some better quality stuff because usually our little hallway smells of skunk. I thought of you Lou. The weed not the skunk. :smile:

    I stabbed a dog when I was about 6 or seven and set another one on fire when I was in my early teens. Now I boldly verbally attack people who mistreat animals, even insects and will go out of my way to take a bug outside and set it free etc.

     

    I am very ashamed of that aspect of my past.

     

    In college I lived in a big house with 3 other guys and one of them was a jerk who would bring his girlfriend to the house nearly every night to engage in loud sex (he thought we didn't know). At that time we were getting xxx gay porn junk mail every week (the previous tenants had been a gay couple) so we took the various images of men engaged in hardcore sex and spread them out all over his bed and room. Then we waited. As usual he brought her home, they didn't say a word and went straight up stairs. He enjoyed rubbing the fact that he was so sexually active in our faces. There was a scream of disgust, an argument, the girl ran downstairs and out the door, he followed with a sneer...we never saw her again and he moved out that month.
