I think Sirius is dead. Sure it was a shady death, but so is everything. But as as book six, there are definitely some things I think are fake. I don't know how to do spoilers or I'd share my theories.

Like almost everybody I couldn't get into it because the whole time I was just disgusted at how Bale looked.

R. Chandler is good stuff, I read "The Big Sleep" and followed that by "Farewell, My Lovely" which was pretty damn good as well. As for being in the area of genius, I won't say it's that but good for what it is, and if you look into the history of it and the era and all that noir lovely college stuff you can respect it more. It turned me on to "City of Glass" by Paul Auster, and "The Maltese Falcon" by D. Hammett.
Forgive me. Stephen King has lost his touch. I liked "The Green Mile" though.
I finished Joe Meno's "How the Hula Girl Sings" recently, which I thought was decent writing.

DAmn! I second the notion, hopefully it spreadas around to other colleges, but highly doubtful.

Actually the fourth book is the last good one. The next three were quite average. Unforunately, Yes, Dubliners will be the first James Joyce I have ever read, but as for Mr. Bellow I have previously read Seize the Day which is why I am continuing with The Actual. Both are novellas really, but i am not ready to commit to the longer Adventures of Auggie Marsh.
I left my job at the video store for a job at a library, so I think i'll be reading plenty more nowadays, even though my career goals deal more with film. I'd lov to be able to write a book. Just have to add it to things i wish I could do.

My condolensces(sp?) and sympathies.

I have my guesses on Harry Potter. I think Ive figured out who R.A.B. is. As well as Whether or not what happened really happened. But they are all just theories and I could be way off.
Also the Gunslinger/Dark Tower series was amazing until the end, when it just crumbled into absolute trash. S. King may have lost his touch.
I'm currently reading The Actual by Saul Bellow
then Ill tap into Dubliners by J.Joyce.
Im going into some heavy reading I guess, especially after H.P.
I finally picked up some Paul Jenkins and Sean Philips HB though and am currently going through those as well.

IT used to make me pish myself. Fucking Clowns. Even Killer Clowns From Outer space was scary to me. But then again i DO hate clowns.
Hellraiser creeped me out.
I still hate Freddy Krueger, but I laugh at Chucky, all Childs Play films blow.
I guess i watch horror now to entertain more than scare. When I worked at a video store we tried to watch all sorts of garbage horror trash and laugh. I remember one called Drainiac. It was awful garbage and so was Ice Cream Man. Damn. Hilarious. Bad Taste was funny as well.
I like Christine. And The Graveyard Shift I feel is fine for a late night movie.
The Thing still intrigues me.

i remember when House of 1000 Corpses came out and me and my friend waited outside early to see it, and i kept saying...come on Rob zombie....he is horror film super fan....it can't be bad.
I'll never live it down. `Shoulders sink`

I want shaun of the Dead figures. What the f-ck?

Haven't seen this movie, Don't plan on it. Iwoan Gruffud was alright in King Arthur. But most 20 year olds agree that Jessica Alba can do no wrong.

I had a teacher who walked around everywhere with a tpb of Dark Knight Returns and said he was in the hundredth time reading it. He was pissed at the idea of Batman Begins and always said they should do Dark Knight with Clint eastwood as Batman. Which i think would be great if only clint was a tad younger. a tad. Because in my partial eyes, Clint Eastwood can do no wrong.

I attend Columbia College. De Paul is near there or at least one part of it.

Last House on the Left is sincerely awful. My Lord. We heard it was great. we heard it was rated X and dangerously frightening. So we bought it, ignoring the fact that it was only 5.99. We figure all those older horror movies were that price because most people were uneducated. We watched. We snored. We slept. We didn't care. We had buyer's remorse.
Now Suspiria, the scenes i have watched which include very little, have been scary. Including one in which one girl tries to wake the star because the witches are coming through some door, covered with green light.
I want to see th Wicker Man. that is something i hear is terrifying or at least disturbing which is pretty much all i could settle for nowadays, being so desensitized to any kind of guts and ripping entrails.

Pretty funny how the do you like your country post turned into an alcohol thread. If we are rating countries on liquor i guess I'd say America doesn't do too bad. Of course I have never had guinness. i don't like beer much. Plus I want to avoid any family resemblance and that would be hard to do with a beer gut.

I havent tried it mainly because it's a different style right? Like punchline on the back and stuff. Plus if Im going to draw might as well keep practicing for drawing the whole thing.
-
thanks Lou. I could never decide on an official way to draw him. I have done all sorts of different styles. I dont know why.
Also I do it because Im no good at drawing full length bodies, backgrounds, or women, but its because I dont ever practice.

I often have a similar problem as Pooka. I am surrounded by polish people that don't speak comprehensable english. they like to drive fast while drinking though because i swear a new one dies on my nearest busy street every week. The street is covered with candles and flowers at different poles and bus stops where the latest crash was. Always polish kids drag-racing or something.

Great Stuff. Its hilarious. Wish it could be more than just a post, like a T-Shirt or Poster or something. I'd make a request but I can't think of anything really funny.

The best is finding someone who is often your opposite but at least open minded i would assume. Like i hate Star Trek and I used to hate X-Files, But my significant other asked me to watch it and I started X-Files.. And I had her read Dangerous Habits and she wasn't really that interested - but at least she tried. I will never give Star Trek a chance though. you hear me Kahn...... NEVER!
Serious note, I just jumped right into this conversation without reading all the posts, and forgive me if I don't know what the fuck i am talking about. I think you just keep trying and you find your mix I guess. Even if it ends up being a Trekkie with a scary pic of captain Kirk by her light switch.

Cool. How long on average does it take you for each drawing? Great sense of humor by the way.

My main problem as of late is the absolute lack of funds for college. What will I do with my life and all that bother.
Also, I was collapsing for awhile but a strange dream this morning made me feel slightly better. Collapsing socially and emotionally and all that. Feeling better though. *smiles*

Changed it.Not enough post ability or summin it says.

Man nothing beats the part in this film......
"Hooper, Slow Ahead!"
"Slow ahead, I can go slow ahead, come down here chum some of this shit!"
BAM! Jaws pops out of the water.
"We're gonna need a bigger boat."
AND in the same film when Ben Gardner's Head pops up and Hooper drops the tooth.
