"I loved what Peter Milligan and company were doing."
By the way, Lemire has said more than once that Constantine is his favorite comic book character. He should be really ashamed of the dialogue he's written in JLD.

I don't like the idea of a crossover. Let the creator-owned books be completely self contained.

No, no, no. All the stories told in Hellblazer are part of the nightmare John had the first time he slept with Nick Necro
-
I still want Delano to make the last, canonical Hellblazer story. Then I would fell that the cycle is truly closed.
Unfortunately, at this point, it's more probable to see Scott Lobdell or DanDidio writing Constantine's adventures.

Is the Unwritten wrapping up soon?
-
It will be revealed that Hellblazer 300 wasn't the end and the title will conclude in a prestige-format mini series by Jamie Delano and a vast array of artists.
And then, a month before the mini series is published, it will be revealed that Delano was fired and the acclaimed team of Ray Fawkes and Jeff Lemire took over the project.

Remember, JLD is written by DanDidio, not Lemire.

Soooo, after reading Milligan's run... I think I do not hate it as much as you, guys. I'd still put it as one of the worst, but I think I enjoyed it more than Mina's. Mina didn't make John do out-of-character stuff, but I found here stories (or story) less entertaining than Milligan's. I consider Milligan's HB a good comic, but quite a bad Constantine book.
That being said, I think Milligan has never read "The Family Man". Or any of the previous appearances of Gemma. Or any issues with Kit.
Also, why is Gemma blonde now?

I'm gonna gather the Aguascalientes fan club, which is basically just me

Back when Millars' purpose wasn't making comic book movie franchises.

I'd still prefer Snyder writing Batman and letting the other titles be.
-
But DanDidio must love Snyder, I mean, each story arc he comes up with can be turned into a crossover with a shitload of tie-ins.

Slinker, where is the first picture from?
-
Although, to be fair, Snyder is no DeMatteis, Moore or Morrison.

I think this has been the best issue so far, as it is the first one to really play on the idea of the Bat-king and his jester. It made me feel the previous issues were unnecessary. I still think it is gross for the sake of being gross.
Nothing to put up there with Going Sane, The Killing Joke or Arkham Asylum.

I personally enjoyed Life During Wartime, but I never understood the point of making "The Books of Magic" real objects in the story. I strongly dislike Lemire's approach, it takes away all the... magic.

The Cult of the Cold Flame has become generic, just like most of the "New 52" characters.
I didn't realize it was the same group from Gaiman's Books of Magic either, since you could really insert any random "sinister mystical organization" into the picture, and it'd serve the same purpose.
Oh, the days of the Imagination behind a book like Gaiman's Books of Magic are long behind us now, I'd say.
By the way, when did the Books of Magic become actual books?
I haven't read the Books of Magic ongoing, but in Books of Magic: Life during Wartime, the books were disguised as Tim's imaginary friends.

How many monthly books is Wood writing?

I disliked 15, but I have some hope for issue 16.

"We have a bunch of cool stories coming your way, from the ongoing threat of the mysterious CULT OF THE COLD FLAME, to a brand new Sargon the Sorcerer and a horror called THE WITCHBREAKER, Constantine will have his blood-stained hands full. I hope you come a long for the ride."
I've just realized the cult of the Cold Flame is the one from Gaiman's Books of Magic. I really hate how in the recent issues of JLD, they have attempted to ground the magic, with the books being described as "machines". I liked (loved) the dreamy, fantastical approach of Gaiman.

"And like we said, with Jeff and Ray stepping in on "Constantine," weaving it closer to "Justice League Dark,"
Your hope shall be gone.

Constantine : The Interviews

"That’s not to say that our book won’t have political undertones, but I think they need to come about organically and John’s worldview in 2013 as opposes to 1989 when those early issues were published."
I really disliked that, a lot of the things that make John tick will be lost if he is really set in this time and age. John had his hippie and punk years. Now what? Mucuous Membrane was actually a grunge band?
