Probably about an hour and 40 mins or thereabouts.

fight fight! kick his ass!
To be fair, if the shooting starts the stormtrooper would probably miss from there.
And who knew Tony Stark would do an XXL version of the armour?

Aye, I noticed that in the trailer too.
Wonder where it came from......?
Ah well, only 15 days till I find out for definite

Who am I kidding; I'll be having a drink anyway.

Hope you all have a great time. Family & work commitments prevent me from making the journey, but I'll raise a glass at any alloted time.

Excellent stuff. Thor ripping shit up in Greenwich.

I declare a love for Crimson Fucking Tide.

8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown (UK Channel 4) is absolute genius. Panel show comedy gold.

Aye, I could probably do it from Dropbox, but it'll have to wait till I crank up my laptop at home (work computers don't allow access to this type of site).

Congratulations!

That's rather stylish. Maybe it doesn't get recognised because you're not sporting the quiff and the ugly blue suit?
Well, I did have an ugly blue suit, but I left the psychbilly quiff behind when I was about 18.

When you draw an architectural plan, you should always add a compass point showing north, so that you can easily compare drawings in different orientations.
Johnny Nemo's gun had a stylized "N", enclosed in a cirlce, on the side: angled slightly to the right, with the uprights of the N extending to touch the edge of the circle.
I took that, adjusted it to make it a bit more abstract and rationalised it to a particular set of geometric principles to make sure I could replicate it easily and accurately regardless of the size.
Add an arrowhead, and voila: a compass point indicating N for North. Only once, when I was at university, did someone point at it and say "Johnny Nemo!". I was so pleased.
(tried to uplaod an image but it's telling me I only have 474 bytes available. Don't know how to get a bigger file on, and my computer at work won't let me edit PDF files)

Random Johnny Nemo related fact:
For the past 20-odd years, every north-point I have drawn on a plan has been based around the N on Johnny Nemo's gun. In that time, only 1 person has ever recognised it as such.

Lou, man - you're looking good.
I particularly like the way your wild scary eyes are tempered by the slight furrow of concern in your brow. A bit like Bruce Banner when he knows he's gone too far and is about to change.
The beard does look impressive. I am jealous to a significant amount.

Hey Avaunt, congratulations on not having George Osbourne crying in your government
Bloody typical. Gay marriage legalised, and already they're turning parliament into a musical.
Seriously though, well done kiwis.

That trailer looks amazing. Serious, without being too dark; and super-fighting!
Oh, and -
"Can't I just pretend to be your son?"
"You *are* my son"
*sob*

Wait, what ?!?
Yes my fine Irish friend, you read correctly. Lono. He lives.

I thought they stopped publishing 100 Bullets a while ago?
True enough. But we are getting a Brother Lono miniseries by Azzarello / Risso in the summer. Yay!

I thoroughly enjoyed that.
A good threatening baddie in the form of the ice warrior, with shades of the Eccleston "Dalek" episode. I enjoyed all the nods towards Alien, and the empty armour was a neat aspect.
I I didn't have any problem with the flimsy-ness of the story, unlike some others here. In fact I thought that Clara's reaction to the dead sailors' bodies, with the realisation that things the stakes really are high when you run with the Doctor, was a great way of reminding us just how much of a shock it can be to be on world-saving duty after living a normal life on earth.
It was good to see David Warner pop up, even if his pop music loving Soviet was a bit contrived. Liam Cunningham was suitably harsh but fair as the Captain, and Tobias Menzies was in his usual untrustworthy sleekit role.
Looking forward to seeing what Dougray Scott and Jessica raine have to offer for next week's episode.

So, my brother & I were talking about Doctor Who last night. He put forward his theory the reason that Clara pops up in all these different times and places is that she is a future version of the Doctor, come back in time to help him in some way. There may or may not be some handover from Matt Smith, if - as my brother believes - he leaves at the end of the season (he has a part in a forthcoming Ryan Gosling-directed film).
The reason she has no memory of her identity or other meetings with the Doctor is handwaved away with an excuse about not polluting the timelines or somesuch thing. Similarly, the lack of Gallifreyan physiology will have a plot-related excuse (did "John Smith" in Family Of Blood have only one heart etc? I seem to remember he did).
Anyway. Discuss.

Happy birthday, youngster.

It's just unfortunate that we couldn't get 15,000 people to buy Billy Bragg or Elvis Costello, but I'll definitely settle for this.

If you don't know about what Slinker said, first of all, which a lot of people don't.
And if you have a choice between brocolli, or something sweet that causes cravings.
Well, which are you going to choose?
Even if I don't know if the packet of cookies I just ate have been made with HFCS or real sugar, I know that if they didn't fill me up I'm not going to go to the shops and buy more as a result. I'll buy myself something more substantial.
Looking at the weight of the world, I don't think most people are very sensible.
True. I'm putting on a few pounds myself due to poor eating/drinking habits. But I wouldn't for a minute blame the food manufacturers for my choosing to continue buying fattening shite so often.
Wait........ weren't we talkling about Hellblazer #300? Apologies for the derail.
