  1. Preacher could be done as a trilogy of films with the following structure; Gone to Texas, Till the end of the World, and Proud Americans being one film, Dixie Fried and War in the Sun being the second film, and finally Salavation, All Hell's A-coming, and Alamo being the third and final film. You sprinkle a little bit of stuff from One Man's War and Saint of Killers story into the second film, and you have a kick ass film trilogy that will never get made.

  2. Frank Derabond strikes again. I love this show. It is definitely worming it's way into my little black heart, and I can't miss an episode. Simply awesome. Oh and James, yes it would be nice to see a racist who isn't a stereotypical redneck, and it would also be nice to see the opposite. I mean doesn't Michael Richards need work?

  3. I actually thought it was a good adaptation when it came to the scenes and moments that Snyder took directly from the book, and as far as the parts that were changed for the studios purposes, I thought Snyder managed to create an ending that still held on to the original intent of the books ending. I thought it was the best adaptation of Alan Moores work to date. Oh well I liked it. I didn't love it, but I liked it. I can't wait for the special edition DVD.

  4. I never really checked Buffy out, but Firefly and Serenity are two of my favorite pieces of audio-visual art. I really would have liked to have seen what Whedon would have done with the show had he been allowed to do so, and I would have to agree with Mark that if things had worked out differantly I think that show would have been his magnum opus. Also isn't funny how many other sci-fi shows have "borrowed" from Firefly stylistically, Battlestar Glactica I'm looking at you. Anyway here's my twelve bitches...

    1. The Dark Knight

    2. The Empire Strikes Back

    3. The Godfather

    4. The Godfather Part II

    5. Goodfellas

    6. Tombstone

    7. The Two Towers

    8. Wings of Desire

    9. Blue Velvet

    10. Resevoir Dogs

    11. Sin City

    12. No Country for Old Men

Now that is my list right now. Ask me again in a few days, and it could be quite differant.

  5. Whoopee, validation. What with this and Watchmen finally being turned into a film, it's almost as though society is telling me that I haven't been wasting my time on juvenile trash for all these years. Hooray.

Sorry, was that a dickish thing to say? I've only just woken up, my judgement of tone and nuance may not be up to its usual impeccably-high standard.

    Morning Mark!

  6. Ah guess what? It's time for crazy ass Morrissey fan rant. Years of Refusal is out and I picked it up the other day and absolutely love it, biased I'll agree. However speaking to the other biased ones, be sure to give Mama Lay Softly on the Riverbed, I'm Throwing my Arms Around Paris, Something is Squeezing my Skull, and I'm OK by Myself multiple plays. Another gem from a master of dispair and loathing.

  7. Otherwise, the plot seemed thin and only oriented to bring the Joker and Batman together,

    Possible contrivances aside, thin plot?

    Come now.

I agree Rohne, a thin plot does not this movie have. I think I have said this on here before but if I haven't well here it is, this is a Robert Altman film about Gotham City. To me it seems like there is one story that being the story of this city as it transitions from being a crime ridden cesspool to being the hot spot for every brand of mask wearing, murderous, nut job. There is no main focus of the story all the plot points and storys ie. Bruce, Rachel, and Harvey, Joker's rise to power, Gordon, Dent, and Batman, et. al. shared the screen equally and were given enough screen time. I mean if you don't think so try watching it again and trying to decide which plot points or scenes could have been cut out. I bet you don't come up with many if any at all.

  8. I really REALLy dislike paying bills that flatmates have inflated by their stupidity/laziness/weakness.

I put a jersey on rather than run a heater, I turn lights off behind me, I never use the clothesdryer if it is possible to dry the clothes on the line. It is one of the most power hungry tools in modern life. Only the oven uses more power.

Most flatmates I have ever had (a) complain bitterly about paying big power bills, ( b) always ALWAYS use the dryer because they are too fucking lazy to use the line ( c ) are a pack of [over-used word]s. STUPID FUCKING [over-used word]S !.

Amen to that brother, and even worse than that are room-mates who can't pay or can't pay on time. GRRRRR!!!!

  9. I still love my ex and wish she would put an end to this "seperation". I mean I know I have some things I need to work on in order to be a better partner to her and she does deserve better, but I know she still wants to be with me and I can't understand why she won't just admit it. Ah women what would we do without them?
