  1. Debbie Schlussel is a well-known raving lunatic.

She's famous for ferverently yelling "Jihaaaaadd!!" whenever making a point about terrorists.

Howard Stern used to (and probably still does) have her on his show just to laugh at her. She's a nutter. She's one of the most opinionated, misinformed, close-minded, and preachy people ever. And it's funny, because as a liberal she assumes she's open-minded!

    She's a top-notch knucklehead, really.

  2. well, i havent been around for a couple of weeks and i am too lazy to read back threads...so did anything really relevant happened i might need to know?

    Just the usual:

    Someone got Manthing'd.

    Jay made baby jesus cry.

    There was another puerile poll.

    There was some creepy flirting.

    Milosevic died, no one noticed.

    Iraqis died, no one noticed.

Lou didn't know Charlie wore glasses.

    Some people got drunk.

    Hagren said he liked Constanteeeeen.

    You know, the usual.

  3. Watched 25th Hour.  I think it's my favorite Spike Lee film yet......  Really good stuff.

Started Lord of War (due to the recent praise on these here boards), but my laptop crapped out on me......  What I saw I really liked though.  So far I've been pleasantly surprised.

Ok, finally finished Lord of War...... Great f'n movie, one of the best I've seen in a long, long time.

25th Hour and Lord of War--- I really lucked out in renting these. Both well-done (and they had 2 of my most favorite actresses in the leads which didn't hurt; I think I'd step over my own mother's dead body to get to Bridget Moynahan....).

  4. THANK YOU FOR REMEMBERING ME.

MY CREATION DAY IS NOT SOMETHING I USUALLY CELEBRATE, AS EACH PASSING YEAR RENDERS ME MORE AND MORE OBSOLETE.

    LIKE MY HUMAN-FORM TWIN.

Have you met Googlebot? I think you two'd make a smashing couple......

  6. Great thread Abhi, it's sort of the mother of all "Best of" threads....

Breathing in the scent of a woman's hair (a woman I'm attracted to, not some random chick in a bar).

  7. "Karma Police," in particular, still confuses me to this day.

To be fair, it's pretty confusing anyway. "He talks in maths/He buzzes like a fridge", indeed

That's actually the part I get, it's what follows that trips me up:

"he/she's like a distant (kitchen) radio....." Wuh?

And the chorus "I've given all I can and it's not enough"

"We are under peril" vs. "We are on the payroll"

  8. Alright, after jumping through all of ESPN's hoops, I finally got my picks and joined the group. Unfortunately, ESPN automatically assigned me a screen name and put that default screen name in the EB Soldiers group. So tell whoever's running it that they can eliminate "Smith 1" from the group (so long as they don't get rid of "unknownsoldier").

Stupid ESPN....... I'd talk shit, but I barely follow college ball.... However, the Mavs can still suck my balls. :D

  9. Yeah, Supertramp made me raise my eyebrows several times when listening to their version of "Blinded by the Light."

The 3 bands whose lyrics I consistently mishear:

    Rolling Stones

    Led Zeppelin

    Radiohead

"Karma Police," in particular, still confuses me to this day.

  10. Something occurred to me while reading GF's post.... perhaps the "shitty" turn in so many of the characters is to give the feel that everything is becoming unhinged, the survivors are at their lowest, and a major confrontation looms (as in, things will come to a boil within the next 3 or 4 episodes)...... Not exactly a groundbreaking theory mind you, but it just might give me the patience necessary to stand Jack, Claire, Charlie, Kate, etc. Otherwise I'm stuck with Mr. Ecko as the only interesting/redeeming character.
