  1. I know folks high in occult circles, so called "contacted" individuals, who will not drive for this reason.

I hope I'm not the only one who thought that this was funny.

    How so, and why?

Even if due to mild mental illness, it shows remarkable responsibility to not drive, knowing they might get pulled out of reality at any moment.

I just think it's funny that people actually believe in that stuff. Not driving because you might be "contacted" is just a silly thing to hear about.

  3. Any chance of a Demon Constantine appearance?

Maybe, if I think of something really cool to do with him. He’s a potentially great villain, and hasn’t really been used much. On the other hand, he kinda screams “continuity”...

I've never thought of Demon Constantine as a "villain." I'll admit, however, that it made my mouth water just thinking about the things that could happen.

I hope there's a Demon Constantine story arc in the future. In fact, I'd like to see him become a main villain character. I think he'd be a perfect fit for the series.

  4. Any chance of a Demon Constantine appearance ? I am looking forward to your run , it sounds promising .

Did the demon Constantine die when he had his throat ripped out? Or did that happen a before Carey's run, because I can't remember.

  5. There's just no way that they share continuity.

Remiel would not have put up with ANYONE ruling hell besides him and Duma. The new triumvirate would be kind of hard for him to miss.

No matter what anyone says, I will not accept them as the same continuity. The only possible exception is that our Hellblazer universe is one of the universes shown in the mirrors during the Mansions of the Silence trip.

  6. Lucifer has appeared in Hellblazer and Constantine has appeared in Lucifer.

The universes cannot possibly be connected, though. The ruling party in Hellblazer was the triumvirate and then just the First. In Lucifer (since Season of Mists) it's been Remiel and Duma, Angels of Heaven, and then a damned human.

If that's not enough, then add to that the differences between God. In Hellblazer, God has been described as unstable. It's shown that he doesn't really care and hasn't really planned anything. In Lucifer, he's a perfect god. Everything that happens has happened according to his plan (Except for the conclusion of the series, of course), and there was none of the unstable emotional bullshit.

There are other differences as well. Hell no longer exists, save for one tower that is inhabited by the Lady Lys. Of course, I don't think that Lucifer takes place in real time, so these could be future events. However, they don't fit into Hellblazer's future at all.

Hell and it's inhabitants are the main difference, but the differences are big enough. The differences in God are also enough for me.

    They are different comic universes.

  7. John is willing to give up his soul to the first evil guy to come along. Shameful.

He's going to Hell when he dies anyway: that was made clear very early on.

    When and how?

I mean, it can't be absolutely certain that he's going to hell, can it?

  8. John did use cocaine? I don't remember that. It doesn't seem like something he'd do.

I thought he used it in Confessional, but I couldn't remember for sure. I can check when I get home, but two of us now have thought that.

  9. 4.What the hell is a Bee Man? Anything like a Bee Girl from Blind Melon music videoes?

Beeman was the guy that gave John all his gear. He gave him the shotgun, the dragons breath, the holy water... He reminds me of Richie Simpson for some reason.

  10. I have a few Hellblazer/John Constantine questions

    1. does John have an addiction to magic or is it just a thrill addiction?

    2. has John ever use drugs? if so which ones?

    3. has John ever used the holy shot gun or anything other stuff he used in the movie, in the comics?

    4. has there ever been a character like Beeman ( he is from the movie) in the comics?

    thanks for answering my questions

    1. Honestly, I'd say he's probably addicted to magic. He recently tried to give it up, but kept using little bits that were "barely magic".

    2. I'm fairly certain I remember seeing him use them in a flashback to his youth. I can't remember for sure, but I think there was cocaine and pot. I don't think hallucinagenics would be out of the question for him.

    3. Not that I've seen. I'm hardly an expert, but he doesn't really use weapons. He mostly influences things into happening. He'll do something if he really needs to, but most stuff seems to happen out of his influence.

    4. There was a character early on that reminded me of him, but he was so far removed from that character in the movie that I wouldn't really count him. I'm fairly certain he was the character that Beeman was designed after, but they weren't anywhere near the same. So my answer would be no.

Of course, I could be wrong on these. I'll let someone else correct me if I am.

The movie and the comic can't really be compared. The story of the movie was inspired by some of the stories in the comic, but you'll find almost nothing from the movies in the comic.

  11. I'm not a fan of future spoilers either. I just figured people would appreciate knowing that Denise does, in fact, know what she's doing and that the triumvirate is not a continuity error. I was just clearing up that one little point since everyone was making such a fuss over it.

I didn't say anything more specifically because I didn't want to ruin anything.

  12. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Everybody was all, "rabble rabble rabble," and then I was all like, "It's not what we were all thinking it was," and everyone else was all like, "<tumbleweed>."
