  1. Yes, he would have demon blood, but it would be Ellie's blood, not Nergal's....Unless Nergal and Ellie are related! Then Carey would be correct by referring to John having "Nergal's blood", only not directly from Nergal's veins.

Stan, since Mike Carey never makes any mistakes, I think that Nergal is really Ellie's father, it's just a secret. Shameful and all that.

Well, how about it Stan? Do I get a nefarious, nubulescent No-Prize for my effort?

    M.M.M.S. Christian Cage

Perhaps he never really lost the blood itself, just the taint of the blood? When he fucked Ellie, his blood became tainted again, restoring power to the blood.

  2. I've tried to search for this before, but I didn't find anything...

Kit's father (in the Heartland special) has a striking similarity to the First of the Fallen. His appearance alone is nearly identical... but if that's not enough, the headbutt panel mirrors a panel from the Rake at the Gates of Hell arc...

    What's the deal with that?

  3. Honestly, this issue didn't do much for me. The paintings were interesting, and the thing at the end was cool, but it didn't really make much sense to me

Anyone have any idea what it was, besides hungry?

Anyway, it didn't really seem to go anywhere that it couldn't have gone in less pages. Felt like a lot of filler to me.

But I absolutely love these covers. I wasn't very happy about 218 (unlike most of you), so I was glad to see this one unchanged.

I just realized that I haven't taken my Hellblazer bathroom break today. What with meetings, phone calls and hard drives, I haven't had time to slack yet!

  4. I want that issue really bad... but nowhere around here has it.

    Where do you reside?

I believe I have a spare #200 signed by Carey.

Far, far away. Council Bluffs, Iowa.

I'm sure I'll find it someday, though.

Try My Comic Shop.com or Mile High Comics

The first is in Texas and the second is in Colorado. Both offer free shipping and you could easily find a less-than-near mint copy of the issue you seek.

    Awesome, thanks.
