  1. Beki, thanks! I have been sort of suiting up in ladies gear lately.

Inca, I wanted to give the sword to him but then I thought I really didn't feel like making another one for future Maz costumes.

  2. I'd accept that he's the kind of bloke who might well have experimented back in his younger, wilder days, and decided it's not for him; but as far as I know (and please do correct me if I'm wrong here), there's no evidence that he is or was a practising bisexual beyond a single passing reference to "the odd boyfriend" by a guest writer in the fill-in issue HELLBLAZER # 51.

I feel like this would require the definition of a practicing bisexual, but isn't it possible to have a ratio of 20 women to 1 man in a person's average? In my opinion, despite the predominance of women this still makes him bisexual.

Okay, you could argue that Constantine had a gay sado-masochistic relationship with SW Manor in Brian Azzarello's run - but since that entire storyline was an elaborate deception being wrought by Constantine on Manor, told in flashback by contradictory and unreliable "eyewitnesses", you can't even take that at face value.

Agreed, although Azzarello's run also had implications that he may or may not have wanted a three-way with Agent Turro and possibly received a hand job from the pope. I don't know if that helps his case or not though...

I'd happily write Constantine as bisexual if that's how he'd been characterized for the past 20 years. But it isn't.

Paul Jenkins did show him all right with accepting a kiss from that beardy king. I guess this still depends on the interpretation of a bisexual man and whether past experimentation or the rare casual one night stand counts. Mainly, we've never seen John having sex on panel with another man, that didn't even happen in Azzarello's run (which could be due to censorship as well), but I think he doesn't need to be shown having sex with a woman to prove his fondness for them either.

Well written response and very hard for me to reply to. I definitely agree that overall John prefers women to men, to me this still makes him bisexual assuming the fact that he has had sex with men before. I guess another way to put it is... I know a lot may not buy that he's bisexual, but I don't buy that he's completely straight either.

  3. Heh Matt Peckham just got back to me this afternoon :)

    Hey, Bonnie...two questions:

    1) Did you lose weight? Not theat you were ever heavy or anything...

2)Will you marry me? Oh! Don't tell my girlfriend I said that! :p

    1) I did! I think it sorta shows eheh.

    2) Are you willing to share ?

  4. Just returned recently, Spain

Trace is the closest, the James Bond is a Prince Charming from Fables! We call it the C(unt) Men Group: John Constantine, Jesse Custer, Proinsias Cassidy, Prince Charming, The Corinthian, and The Cluracan. The matching initials are fate.

  5. Ho ho ho so I've read about it. I do want to check it out, I think I'm in love with him but it could be Nicholas Brocklehurst pushing through

Meanwhile I've been trying to peddle my TSW dvd to my friends, so far I've converted one into a fan. I ended up watching HP5 and wondering why Brydon went into retirement at Hogwarts.

  6. Two hospitalizations for a friend and my dad since Fall last year but they're both better than we could ask for now.

I even sort of fell out of extensive costuming until February. But photowhore needs must!

I'll be joyful if you can guess who all the characters are.

We took comics to an anime convention.

    Two of your worst nightmares.

Yes we were all rotating costumes.

    My favorite from AX.

    Took these to WonderCon.

    And here's one from Fanime.

SDCC stuff is in the thread in that other sub-forum

  7. I saw this question's already been asked sort of, but I'd like to know... will there be a reference reaffirming Constantine's bisexuality in the future?

While I'd never want to see it forced on him, as some writers have done with characters like Apollo and Midnighter in The Authority, it just makes me feel good to know that someone as complex and real as John also shares something in common with me. I feel like when a moment in the story calls for it, reaffirming his sexuality, whether it's with a biting remark or an actual tryst, expresses the fact that anyone, including our smoking magic man, could happen to like birds and blokes. We always see John casually entertaining women, what hurt would including an occasional man do?

Of course the story always comes first, I'll always agree with this  I've absolutely loved your issues so far by the way, which is why I ask this question, because I think you're an excellent writer with the skill to reference it without it looking like propaganda or a publicity stunt.

  8. My ears are burning :) Hey guys. I have more pictures if anyone's interested in my intense photowhoring. I haven't updated cosplay.com in a long time though. I also have NEVER cosplayed Harry Potter, though we've considered Books of Magic!

And for the record, there are people who mix cosplay and sexual kink. I'm not one of them though, nothing would destroy the mood more than putting a god forsaken STAIN on one of my get ups

  9. Sorry to hear that Twilight, my best wishes to your family... I have a friend currently in and out of the hospital for leukemia, but we're doing our best to help entertain her and make the most of it so hospitalization doesn't become her life.

  10. Hmm how do you mean? Like how does she treat me, does she pay me attention etc?

Yes, but you answered most of that in your reply to Christian

It sounds to me like she's gauging your interest in her (how far you're willing to reach for her attention), and she's already somewhat interested in you. I don't know this girl but I think people do test the waters in order to determine if an opportunity would be worth their while, and I think that's the direction she's going, particularly with the look she gave you :) I'd say make plans to go out, and if things don't seem to click or progress any further then no real harm done.... unless you really really like her that much?

  11. I want to see the spreadshit too

Andy always scores the SDCC exclusives, I usually pass them only to regret not buying them, but at the time I wanted to keep my cash in case something special came my way. I still ended up NOT buying that Jack Sparrow compass.

  12. Well so much for the romantic approach, but I still love what Spidey had to say

Maybe you need to figure out how she feels about sex? As in the great example mentioned above, there's fucking and there's making love, there's sex for casual pleasure and sex to pro-create, there's sex for empowerment and sex for healing, etc. etc.

I don't know, I have a friend who has a low opinion of sexual activity for her own personal reasons so wanting to bang someone to her is crude and bordering insulting.
