I haven't watched it, having seen the trailers I doubt there's any serious focus on a genuine character creation, on both Stan Lee's and the participants' parts

What sucks about US media is that even the sources for truth will fuck up occasionally, and the "major media" outlets will dogpile on the the littler guys and say things like "the conspiracy outlets" and shit like that to discourage people from seeking alternative media. So, mr and miss yuppyscumfuck won't ever feel the need to seek out truth at all ever.

I agree though that it seems like major media are discouraging people from seeking alternative news media, so much that sometimes people won't believe the news unless it's on a major network first. An example I heard yesterday: the Mel Gibson thing, two LA radio DJs on kroq (Clear Channel) would not believe a caller sharing the story because they hadn't seen or heard about it on the major news networks.

I talked to someone online recently who is a lesbian, but she dresses and acts very feminine. She wants to be accepted at lesbian clubs, but she says she feels very self-concious and conspicious at the lesbian clubs due to her sticking to more strictly feminine modes of attire and appearance.

The patrons give her looks and don't frequent much around her, and she feels it must be because they wonder if she's actually a lesbian.

Her comment was something along the lines of, "What? Do I have to prove how queer I am to be accepted in gay circles?!"
