no thank you. Didn't care for the style of animation at all. Transmet would work as an anime if the looks better.
I wonder how or if Transmet would work as a TV show. Hmmm....

A stupid question.
How can a poor, silly American such as myself see this interview?
-
In no order of any kind:
David Byrne-Growing Backwards
Johnny Cash-All 4 American Albums
A Perfect Circle- Mer De Noms
Garth Brooks-Double Live (both albums)
Eric Clapton-Me and Mr. Johnson
Widespread Panic-bootleg from a concert

Every time I see a pic of "Constantine" I get excited, but when I hear about the story my ballon bursts.
Although I get a different kind of excitement over Rachel Weisz.

Conincidentaly the same as the cover to the
"Catholic Priests' Guide to Man-Boy Love"

I really dug the covers he did for Gotham Knights awhile back. A great looking Batman. And yes his issues of Hellblazer are two of my favorites.

Caps true saviors from the ice soon realized they were not the only things that are"wee."

Even thought I dislike Chuck Austen's work, he seems to care a great deal about what he writes. We (the audience) in our opinion do not like it but he is content with his work. So for that I will Chuck credit.

Rogan, if getting rid of Guy and Kyle is the way to keep Hal, so be it.
i just read GL #99-106 : Kyle and young Hal team up against Parallax. bizzarre.
I remember that story. It could have been good but got muddled at the end. 1 thing I did like was the element of Kyle was more expirenced than that version of Hal.
-
I always got a kick out of Guy as the guy you love to hate. Especially in the Giffin/DeMatties JLA. But I fear he has worn out his welcome. Rogan, if getting rid of Guy and Kyle is the way to keep Hal, so be it.

Actually, I think the road to hackdom is writing too many stories that you don't care about. It's a bit harsh to get on at a bloke for writing things which he's passionate about, even if it means he's writing to a very small audience.
I agree James. In my opinion a writer should not just write anything just for a check. A writer should be writing about what he/she feels passionate about, otherwise what is the point. Maybe with Ellis right now he is passionate about superheroes. He seems to ebb and flow with superheroes.
-
Also speaking of Ellis. I just finished the Haunted trade. I do like the story a great deal, but the art is not very good. John Higgins is good artist just not right for John Constantine. Makes me wonder what would have happened if Ellis was on Hellblazer longer?
-
I know what you mean Wolvy. Comic collecting seems like gambling at times.

I am glad that Guy is back to his old self and I am hoping it stays that way. I am a born and raised Hal fan, but still like Guy Gardener, John Stewart, Kyle Rayner and Alan Scott. Each has his place and since the GL Corps is supposed to be an intergalactic police force it makes sense to have more than 1 cop on patrol.
-
Ah the quest of a fan. Good luck Wolvy, you have more time and money than myself. I am waiting for the day when DC pulls its head out and starts collecting Hellblazer properly.
(yes I am aware Hell will freeze over first)

Beautiful voice + beautiful face=happy talkinghead

I do like Gwen's singing most of the time. When she's good she's good. However her solo stuff thus far is not good. Besides she's hot and for some that's what matters.
-
I will say this of Ellis' run, he did good dialog. He is also good at writing S.O.B.s and that worked for writing John.

I try to only get trades when I can not find those particular issues and/or for a good price. Example: Marvel Masterworks or DC archives. I also did this with Hellblazer, Sandman, Preacher, and some Lucifer. For me it was easier and cheaper to get caught up this way.
I highly dislike the trend of packaging up trades almost immeadiatley after a story arc is finished.
Trades are good for series that have a decernable beginning-middle-end to them, like Sandman, Preacher, Invisibles, Starman.

This whole end of the Avengers is not very good. The art was ok and the story could have been better if Bendis wasnt "phoning it in." I dont mind well know characters dying, or going bad as long as it makes sense. The reasons for Wanda going wacky do make sense a little, but seemed as though Bendis was trying shove it down our throats.
Here is a good example of major change down well:
The Thunderbolts. They started off as evil S.O.Bs but have redeemed themselves through a gradually process(that is still going) of becoming heroes that made sense for their personalites.
With Wanda Benids pushed hard and fast just to get a shock.

There is no one more famous than I.
But seriously I have met no celebrities of interest as I lead a boring life in that regard.
-
Good issue. Manco's art is really growing on me. What John did to "club" manager was pure gold!
-
Do the piece with the golden age characters only as they appeared in Sandman Mystery Theatre. Man of the Hour, Ted Knight, Crimson Avenger, Sandy, Jim Corrigan, and Dr. McNider
-
Great work Tim. It is good to see one of my favorite characters.
How about one with him and the Phantom or with other Golden Age heroes that appear in Myster Theatre?

I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!
Even thought I have not read any Books of Magic except the 1st mini, and am somewhat confused, I enjoy this book. It is fun discovering as the series progresses just what is going on. I really dig Dean Ostron's unique style.
SO FOR THOSE WHO LIKE THIS BOOK OR ARE INTERESTED: BUY IT!
KEEP UP THE SALES.
