I've been posting regularly while I am on vacation.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

Speaking of misplaced faith in the author, I borrowed Terry Pratchett's Small Gods from the library and got 36 pages in before giving up. To paraphrase Jay, looks like Pratchett phoned that one in. If anyone's read further and discovered it's really a gem, feel free to set me straight.
I haven't read it, but I've actually heard someone describe it as the best Discworld book of the whole series.

I actually started reading this once. The TPB, at least. I don't think I liked it at all, since I never finished it. Should I read it?

Agent 355 in Y, the Last Man.
Has a steamy romance with...
Allison, the biochemist, also a lesbian.
Fascinatingly...well, gay in a post apocalyptic, woman rage ruled world with...one guy left...and his pet monkey, also a dude. Got wood?
They're gay? Maybe I should have read more than just the third TBP.

Wow. You wouldn't ban me? That's so nice!

I'm reading On a Pale Horse by Piers Anthony. I realised about a third of the way through that this writer 's just like Kurt Vonnegut's character Kilgour Trout. Only his ideas are good. His writing is a tad mediocre.

I haven't read Hitman. What is it like? Or about?

Is Constantine bisexual?

While those statements may 6e correct, chances are good that if you found yourself coming here, that you are in fact NOT normal! :D
Of course I'm not normal. Jus normal in this one little aspect.

I was just wondering if anyone else noticed this about the conclusion.
I read this awhile ago and there was just something bothering me at the end. Finally, I figured out why the conclusion was so disappointing: it's virtually the same as the The Doll's House storyline's ending. The characters take a long time to journey to this magical land and someone's gonna die, but then, some other person makes the sacrifice. In The Doll's House it's with Rose Walker and her grandma, in The Time of Your Life it's with Alvie and that manager guy.
Now, I really liked The Doll's House and I think of Neil Gaiman as one of my favorite writers in prose or comic so it's disappointing to think that he's recycled something so obviously.

I hate Keanu Reeves and I really like Johnny Depp. Am I normal, then? But I really can't see either of them playing Dream. I can't see anyone playing any of the Endless. I don't think there should be a movie. Where would the plot be from? The first TPB?

I read on another thread that Ennis has written some terrible stuff. I've only read his Hellblazer and some of Preacher, so can anyone tell me what's good and what's to be avoided?

I think that it's quite sensible as a lot of 14 year olds are having sex with one another anyway. Probably need some kind in built protection such as a requirement that the two people be of similar age i.e. within 2 or 3 years of each other for anyone under the age of 16.
I think that's actually how it is in Canada, though the new government wants to make the age of consent higher.
-
Oh, and what are you wearing RIGHT NOW?
I am wearing an old tshirt from summer camp from 8 years ago. When I was 8.

I look nothing like Fraiser. Sorry.
Not all psychologists look alike, especially when one is a fictional psychologist in the first place.
In England, you're safe Mick.
In America, it'd be considered rape after you turned 18, if she wasn't 18 yet.
This is scary. I live in Canada, where the age of consent is 14.

Dont frighten the poor girl off before she's settled in! :D
Actually, come to think of it, what are your thoughts on eating vomit for money, Coralys? :D
(...sorry!)
At first I had to convert 1 million pounds to canadian dollars and thought, "That's quite a lot!" Then I realised that it was VOMIT. So, no.

Before Mick, Jon, and the others jump in, let me remind you that she's 16!
Hi, coralys! Stay a while! Have fun! Watch your back!
Thank you for that.

Wait. Maybe it was Tom. Yeah, it was Tom. Why is he everyone's friend?

The day after I signed up for a myspace account, I had a friend in my "Friends" thing name Chris, from California. I do not know any Chris or anyone in California. I have not been back on myspace since. It was probably some kind of fluke, though. I am sure I Chris from California is really harmless.

Troops to stay in Afghanistan for years: Harper
Mon Apr 10, 3:32 PM ET
OTTAWA (Reuters) - Canadian troops will be in
Afghanistan for years to come, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said on Monday.
"Our troops are already deployed in Afghanistan, have been deployed for some time and, as we know, will be there in some form in the next few years," the prime minister told Parliament.
He refused to accede to a request from the NDP to commit to a vote in Parliament on any extension of the Canadian troops' deployment beyond early 2007.
The Conservatives have pledged to give the House of Commons a say on future deployments but this would apply only to new hot spots and not to Afghanistan, to which the preceding Liberal government committed troops.
NDP leader Jack Layton declared: "This government ran on a promise to Canadians that there would be a vote on deployment of our troops."
Canada deployed troops to Afghanistan after the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States and now has 2,300 soldiers in the southern city of Kandahar, where it commands a multinational task force and has faced rising casualties.

Have you read any of Mike Carey's Lucifer series, coralys ?
Judging by your path to Hellblazer, I reckon you'd enjoy it.
I've read Lucifer up until around #50 and although I think something frightfully important was happening, I sort of drifted away from it. I really should start catching up.
Thank you all so much for welcoming me. It means a lot.

Is this still about The Time of Your Life? I don't remember this at all.
I was enjoying the story, especially about Foxglove and her manager, up until the ending. I felt like it was building up to something good, but it was just disappointing.
