  1. OK - There may be more to add here so pay special attention to further postes from either me or McMahon throughout this post.

Here's the idea - In an effort to save on postage from the US we're giving YOU the fans an opportunity to put your hands on Bradstreet artist proofs at a very affordable price. Each proof is printed on 120lb watercolor paper with archival inks. As I say on the sales site, they look even better than the originals. Each proof will be signed and at your request, personalized.

You simply tell me what proof or proofs you want and I'll let you know if I have it available.

You needn't feel limited to choosing Hellblazer images either. I've got everything from Punisher to Cobra Commander available. Some of the non Hellblazer stuff is viewable here --->

    http://www.plyconskeep.com/artwork/timproofs.htm

Still. there are a lot of proofs that are not listed here so if you have a favorite cover or pin-up or anything else by me just put in your request and I'll let you know if I have it

I have practically everything available from my run on Hellblazer but there are a few here and there that I don't have a scan of. But I do have about 95% of the run.

    All proofs are 13" X 19" (or Super B)

We will work out the exact details for payment at some point in the next few weeks. Keep an eye peeled here for further information.

For the UK fans I am discounting the prints. They normally sell for $40.00 each. I'm slashing that to $25.00 each for every proof. Issue 202 and issue 214 will sell for $20.00 each. If you order 4 proofs I'll throw in an extra proof gratis - so that's 5 proofs for $100.00

The package to the UK will ship flat, not rolled.

Here is a sample proof order -

    Proof requested: Hellblazer #'s 181, 202, 215. Punisher Max # 2, 20.

Total: $95.00 (subtracted $5.00 for the discounted Hellblazer 202)

    Personalized? Yes - "To Nigel"

Simple as that. If I don't have the proof requested then I will let you know.

I'm open to suggestions for deadlines for the proof orders but I'd say if you want to get orders in time for Christmas then the order deadline should be October 31, that way we have plenty of fallback time for getting everything shipped.

    Cheers - Tim

  2. Rememer, kids, this is why being a lurker just doesn't pay off! *walks off into the sunset, mumbling bitterly*

Seriously now, the cover itself is brilliant, and the detail is just too nice.

Yet another reason to be sad that Tim's leaving...

I wonder if i can buy proofs from the world's arse...

To the left between Pooka and Andy - impossibly to make out from the jpeg posted here but somehow, some way . . . . Alseid makes the wall! Probably ran across a flattering post while I was looking for names. ;)

Hildy - heartily sorry for missing you. Like I said before, you are there in spirit.

By the way, the mass UK proof order idea is a cherry one. I'll certianly cut a deal since it's probable that the order could exceed 20 proofs.

We open a new topic called "UK proof order", you put your requests in there, we post an order deadline so folks know how much time they have to make up their minds, then I send off the package to John, Ade, whomever. Whoever I send them to would be in charge of shipping prints to the rest of the crew. Kind of like the T-shirt thing.

You don't have to order through the sales site since it needs updating in a huge way.

Simply tell me what cover you want as a proof and I'l let you know if I can make it or not. I have practically everything from my run as a file but there are a few that are missing. This order thing needn't be strictly for Hellblazer either. You can order Punisher, Red Sky Diary stuff, Cal McDonald, GI Joe, whatever you have seen from me in the past 3-4 years.

I'll personalize them or simply sign them just specify what you want when making your order.

Volunteers for helping coordinate this on the UK end would be very welcome.

I'll cover shipping to the UK, you guys pick up the rest. I'll work out further logistical details with whoever ends up handling the UK order.

  3. . . . And yes, I'll be offering it as an artist proof once the smoke clears from my move (to a Dee lux apartment in sky high, or more accurately to my brand new swanky kick ass huge house with massive studio and pool ;) - and an upcoming convention. I'll be updating the sales site in the next two months. Also, this print along with 202 will be a reduced price proof - $20.00 instead of $40.00.

Also, if any of you are thinking of ordering proofs in the next few months . . . wait until I update (I'll give everyone the heads up here when it happens), I'm cutting prices on the proofs from $40.00 to $35.00.

  4. You kids are too kind.

Just my way of saying thanks to you all. I knew I was going to forget some people so if you are a regular that got left off the wall you are certainly there in spirit. I knew I'd forget some folks but I didn't leave anyone off intentionally.

Just posted a higher res version to John so hopefully he will post it here soon.

And yes, it is a tad darker than I'd hoped. Grant's monitor is a bit too light so he misjudges the brightness needed sometimes. Hopefully I'll have that worked out before it goes to the printer.

    Best - Tim

Oh, and wait until you see 215!

And never fear. No one will will be removing the grafitti

  5. Not to be a rat or anything but when I met Andy I told him to go and meet you Tim!  But he said he didn't want to be rude and that you seemed busy.  Obviously I had no qualms about running up to you and saying 'wassup!' hehe...  I have that picture of you and your friend by the way!

    "I'm on the cover!"

ACX you rock. Jeremy was dying to see this. You made his day.

Thanks a ton for all the cool costume shots too. Great to meet you. I trust you had a sensational time.

    xoxo - tb

  6. [ Did I see Andy?

    ANDY WHERE WERE YOU?

You always seem like you're being pulled in several directions at once at every SDCC and I didn't want to feel like I was hassling you. Plus I was waiting to give you the official Straight to Hell T-shirts in person had they arrived in time.

Hey, no sweat Andy. Just remember, since I'm getting pulled several directions at once it won't hurt to get pulled in another. It's the nature of the show. It's rare I find myself with no one pulling. My point is . . . Next time come over and say hi. "Hey Tim, Andy from Straight to Hell" would work wonders. I'll blow off whomever I'm talking to to shake yer hand 'ol son.

Sorry we missed each other. Next time there boss.

    - TB

  7. I had a lot of fun at SDCC and it was great meeting you Andy, and Tim too of course 8-)  Peter Gross was wonderful as well, I wonder if Karen still thinks I was Gabriel hehe.  No worries about the t-shirts!

Great meeting you too ACX. Great job on the costumes. Did I see Andy?

    ANDY WHERE WERE YOU?

Sorry if the panel was less then spectacular. I think Francis not showing threw off our moderator's plan a bit. I could have gone comic relief but Rachel had me in dumbstruck mode.

And ACX, do you have a shot of my buddy Jeremy (the guy with the mohawk and piercings?)

Jeremy is a buddy of mine who showed up on the cover to the first issue of the Highwater arc.

I'd love to get a jpeg 'o' that.

    Hope you had a ball!

  8. Lou - You the fucking man.

May be seeing you at a Motor City show in the near future. They contacted me last week about something. If it happens and you make it too, I bring you something extra special my friend (and something for chucky baby too!).

    Grin -

Can I tell you how much I love the new avatar? You are now officially my new hero.

    And by the by . . . .

I was able to touch base with both Karen Berger and Richard Bruning this week at comicon.

They went out of their way to make it clear to me that leaving the Vertigo family is not an option.

It warmed my heart gladly to know that from the horse's mouth so to speak. Prior to this we had yet to speak of the matter. One thing is for sure, I got-a-lot-a-more in store for you all. We talked about some different options for regular cover artist gig and also about that Hellblazer cover art collection book.

    To the future my brethren.

  9. Timmy, Rogan, all -

Wow. I'm pretty overwhelmed by all the support.

I do sincerely appreciate it. You guys have made me feel welcome from the start and what I've found in the bargain is the best forum on the net. I've tried to have a presence elsewhere but so many of them are filled with uninformed backbiting jackwipes. Here it seems so much more civilized. As a fan of the book I'd stick around regardless of working on it monthly. But it's really become my home in spite of it being a Hellblazer forum. Made a lot of good friends here.

Always ready to jump into the fire and find me location ref, character ref, etc. You guys always go out of your way to help if it's needed and that's been a Godsend.

Mike and I came up with an idea for the last cover that, as Mike puts it "Is the perfect note to go out on". I couldn't agree more. I hope to blow you all away with an exclamation point.

Just finished 214 so we're down to one boys and girls. Pulling out all the stops.

    Cheers - TB

  10. I refer all unregistered guests to Mark's signature (in Blue).

Mainly the Charlie K quote but more significantly the Red quote.

    Can I get an Amen?

Or at leat a Green Manalishi With A Two-Pronged Crown?

  11. Woah, Hold on there Hank Williams Jr. ;)

I do really dig some of his nudes and he has some pretty interesting stuff from a fine art perspective. The distressed paper wrinkling seems to give his work much of it's life.

I also agree that he seems to have used himself as a model for John. But really, the quasi-celebrity comment doesn't seem very fair. We have no idea how Greg got the gig so please do not be too harsh without knowing a bit more. You are entitled to your opinion but we try and run a clean house here. Do we even know if this is a cover?

Hey I just told my opinion about a drawing. And my opinion is not very worthy, anyway... I've just seen other art from this artist and I liked it! (only hope he won't draw a strong and muscled John in the covers...)

Um, as Mark stated earlier - I was referring to our unregistered guest - not to you.

No one's giving YOU flack Spain ;)

Listen, it matters very little. Greg is coming onto the book like it or not.

It's a tender subject for me most of all but I say we wait and see what this chap has got up his sleeve. I've read the script for 216 and it's got a great feel. It really evoked the vibe of the classic, seedy Constantine for me. I've a feeling that Denise will inspire Mr. Lauren to bring his best game to the table.

He'd better. He has to do me proud ;)

    Welcome aboard Greg.

  13. You're fine in my book Hagren.

Your posts aren't the easiest things to decipher but I certainly get the intent.

Prodigiously better than if I were to attempt one in Deutsch.

Neither one of us would know what the fuck I was talking about ;)

  14. Tim (& HagreN),

    Only joking.

    Well partly.

I'm a bit hacked off too Ade. And I completely understand your feelings, most if not all of which I agree with. Especially the lack of a London premiere. But you can imagine the can of worms that would have opened. Embracing the fans could have gone a long way towards salving the major conflicts we have with the Hollywood treatment of our beloved Hellblazer.

I will try to address this if there is an opening for discussion along those lines.

    - T

  15. What's the point of this panel anyway, to push the DVD release ?

    Yes John.

And they did try to get other guests but for one reason or another I think Brian and I will be the only ones at the show. I know this won't excite many of you but Keanu was supposed to be there and a scheduling conflict will prevent him. Word from on top (Warmers) says he's pissed about it. He loves the book and is a major comic fan, was really looking forward to it. Even if he had to answer some harsh critics.

Ade - Unfortunately, I'm not wired that way. I'm not sure I could be the spokesman you wish for. I play the game for the most part. I've never had the reputation of being a loudmouth or a negative ass, and if I voiced those opinions to my fellow panel people that is exactly what I would be to them. And I am not in the business of making enemies. I will voice my opinion if asked but it will be tempered by understanding what these people have to go through to get their vision on screen. Shit, it's hard enough to do that in comics. Hopefully you understand. People will have the opportunity to voice their opinions in the panel. I'm simply there as a member of the Hellblazer family at the request of Warner Bros. It wouldn't seem right to lob a full broadside into them amidships when I'm hoisting the same flag.

The reality is filmmaking is a tough business. I speculate Lawrence did what he could, or more accurately was allowed to do based on the what the studio wanted and the script called for. He's just a hired hand after all. It's only truly a director's medium when a director has a certain amount of control. I find it hard to hold Lawrence solely accountable. I'm not necessarily defending him, I'm only suggesting that there is a bigger picture to consider.

Once we all get a chance to listen to the director's commentary on the DVD we may get a better idea of the how much he is responsible for. So for me, the jury's out until I have more information.

And if someone can get me a shirt before the panel I'll display it proudly, hanging off the table in front of me.

    - I'll be at table BB-12 in Artists Alley all day.

    - TB

  16. Hey, just wanted to alert folks who will be attending the San Diego Comicon that there will be a nasty little Constantine panel. Should be fun cause Rachel Weisz will be in the house! And whenever Azzarello and I get together there are bound to be hijinx. There will also be free giveaways and they will be handing out 50 or so signed issues of Hellblazer 141 (the one I illustrated). Think they are giving away some DVD's too. Warner just sent me one and it looks like a real nice package. 2 discs, 18 minutes of deleted scenes, alternate ending, and a ton of special features. Come one come all.

Thursday, July 14, 5:30-7:00 CONSTANTINE: From Comic to Film. Warner Home Video hosts key Constantine film and comic creators in a presentation and discussion. The panel features actress Rachel Weisz (Mummy series), director Francis Lawrence, Vertigo editor Karen Berger, comic writer Brian Azzarello (100 Bullets), and artist Tim Bradstreet (Punisher). Moderator Jeff Conner interrogates the participants and raffles signed movie memorabilia and DVDs. ROOM 6B

    Come see us.

  17. When Keanu met Constantine.

    Nice one Ade.

    Test -

    No 'ouch' necessary mi bravo.

I was hoping not to illicit that reaction.

Don't want you to feel like a cracker, just don't want to be referred to as bradsheet.

It kinda sounds like Mr. Shit.

    You understand I'm sure ;)

    - tb

  18. I thought Larosa was on pencils, Tim brining the ink and a dude calld Grant Goleash in the back with the crayons.

Right you are. I'm only inking, but also doing a few covers.

You guys know Lewis' stuff but the shit he's bringing to the Planet will go beyong what you've seen. And you can see Grant's color work in many of the stories in Vertigo's now defunct projects 'Gangland", 'Flinch', and 'Hearthrobs'. Also Batman/Deathblow with Me and Bermejo.

Grant also colored the first 12 issues of 100 Bullets. But you know him better from his amazing color work on my covers.

Jane is writing a Punisher mini or fat one shot with Niles. They just haven't sorted out the details yet.

    - tb

  19. Fuck thats one less Bradsheet Constantine cover to look forward to!

    Hey there Test . . .

I've been noticing in your posts you keep referring to me as Bradsheet.

Now the first time I saw it I thought it was just a typo, then I saw it again, then again.

I keep meaning to politely mention that it's BradSTREET.

I would take it as a kindness if you were to spell it correctly.

    Most appreciated.

Haven't got this issue yet and probably won't see comps for another two weeks at least.

    Damn DC's lag!

    - tb

  20. Well I guess it's safe to say the Punisher 2 is in the pipeline.

Avi Arad has said as much. He has also made it known that Jigsaw will be involved. Beyond that I can't really say much. Tom is working out and just so you know, Jane doesn't work out unless he's getting paid ;) So he must feel pretty confident it's going to come off. The other thing is for the DVD Director's Cut of the first film, but no date has been announced for it's release. All I can tell you is we've got something pretty nifty up our sleeves, something that I don't think has ever been done before for a film. Sorry to be so vague but that's the nature of the beast. I think there will be some sort of official announcement this fall. Hold onto your hats, it's going to be very cool.

Meanwhile, bask in the furious glow of Bad Planet my friends.
