  1.

I was wondering the same thing about Annie and new ghost girl. I hope that isn't where they are headed.

I really hope they're not going to do that. I'll be very disappointed if they don't have Annie if there's another season. It'll be a shame as well, being as they've turned her into such a great, likeable, funny, strong character. Hal and Tom both work well with her too, and I think the new ghost girl will just get pretty irritating very quickly.

Aside from that, I'm really liking how it's working this season. Some nice twists and turns, which is always nice to see. :boogie:

  2. BHG, I agree with you totally. The trailer I saw for Abraham Lincoln: Kung-Fu Master looks really bad & that they missed the mark on capturing the feel of the book.

The Raven does indeed look promising. Poe + Cusack + horror/mystery = Me :boogie:

It looks like they've got the right feel to The Raven, which is very important for a film set in a certain period, but as for Abraham: Super Hero, it looks like they couldn't have got it more wrong.

I'm just wondering how many people will actually want to see that pile of tripe. The last ounce of respect I did have for Tim Burton has definitely gone now, that's for sure...

  3. Hopefully this hasn't already been posted...

I'm really looking forward to The Raven. I do like the storyline they're going with. Turning Poe into a detective to prove his own innocence in murders copying his stories printed in the local paper sounds like somebody has thought it through, at least, and I'm a bit of a fan of John Cusack, so it might actually work well.

I'm thinking it'll work better than that awful looking Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Slayer, anyway...

I actually thought it was one of those joke trailers that people make up. I can't say how disgusted I am at the waste of money that thing is and it's not even supposed to be a comedy, because if I do I'll be here all night.

Anyway; The Raven will hopefully soothe my anger.

  4. Well after that episode I'm sold on the new threesome. Apart from The walking dead it's the only thing on at the moment worth watching.

Are we supposed to know the guy in the trailer for next weeks episode, can't remember him if we are.

He definitely wasn't in the other ones, so I think he's just supposed to be someone they know from the past. I am warming to Hal now after last night's, anyway. :boogie:

  5. So hopefully not actually separated at birth then!

His 'chav' mannerisms seem a lot more pronounced this season, his exchanges with Not-Mitchell were driving me mental with how weirdly familiar they felt till the penny dropped that he appeared to be doing a Kelly impression - now it all makes some kind of sense!

Yep. Once you see it, it's one of those things you can't un-see, isn't it? I do really like his character, though.

It's taking me longer to get to like the Not-Mitchell, though...

  6.

Holy shit, you're right! wouldn't be surprised if they were brother and sister in real life.

They are brother and sister in real life...

He's a little bit older than she is. I found this out after watching the first Misfits series, and I'd already seen him in This Is England. :boogie:

  7. The downside to catching tele through non-conventional means...you run the risk of missing the head's up for the return of familiar favourites, Being Human is back tonight!

Yep, I'll be watching that, though with a bit of trepidation, as from the trailer it looks like they're trying to replace Mitchell, which could be a bit of a downfall, but we shall see.

If they're going to bring in another vampire as a main character, they could at least have made it so he's not Irish as well... :icon_wink:

  8. Well, they have stuck so well to the spirit of the novels and Doyles writing them, I think the resolution is entirely in our hands?. We have to write begging letters till the people making the programme give in and "rescue" Holmes?.

The BBC have announced that there will be a third series of Sherlock, maybe early next year, or even earlier.

That is something I'm fully prepared to wait for. :boogie::adore::smile:

  9. For all those Silent Hill fans out there, there will be ports of Silent Hill 2 and 3 for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 sometime this year. They did a great job of doing the same for Resident Evil 4, so they should be good. :boogie:

The Alan Wake one should be good as I thoroughly enjoyed watching my eldest play the first one. My kinda game, indeed...

  10. I loved it. I'm probably more target audience than others on here, but I'm happy with that. Of course, I love the grittier stuff, but I have always been a sucker for a bit of a soppy, happy ending. The humany-wumany stuff's great... :icon_wink: :x_sleigh::boogie:

  11. My girlfriend showed me this and I love it.

    A Girl You Should Date

Date a girl who reads. Date a girl who spends her money on books instead of clothes. She has problems with closet space because she has too many books. Date a girl who has a list of books she wants to read, who has had a library card since she was twelve.

Find a girl who reads. You’ll know that she does because she will always have an unread book in her bag. She’s the one lovingly looking over the shelves in the bookstore, the one who quietly cries out when she finds the book she wants. You see the weird chick sniffing the pages of an old book in a second hand book shop? That’s the reader. They can never resist smelling the pages, especially when they are yellow.

Love it, love it, love it. But then, I'm one of those girls, so I would, wouldn't I? :x_ban::boogie::hattip:

  12. Yeah, that'd explain it. There are some problems with the build-up to what you, rather magnificently if I may say so, refer to as the "Extreme Chiropractor!" fight, but for the most part it's a pretty solid run of comics, with a couple of issues that are really rather good. If nothing else, several of them are illustrated by Norm Breyfogle...

Yep, Dog's right. I had read those and someone many years ago told me it was very good, so I was obviously given the wrong impression. :hattip:

  13. Bane was quite big deal in the first storyline from the Jim Balent Catwoman series, wasn't he? That one started while Bats was wheelchair bound after the dust up with Bane and Azrael had taken over the job...

Ah, right. I hadn't read any of the Azrael stuff, I'd just heard and read about them and seen a few copies. I've still yet to read Knightfall, but I've been told some great things about it. :boogie:
