WB gave us the most cringeworthy Lex Luthor i've ever witnessed. If they drop the ball with Joker and Harley , i'm fucking out. I have faith in Jared and Margot, though.

On one side , I feel like this might be a copout because JLD live action seems to be in such development hell, so to compensate, they'll just make an animated movie instead.

 

On another ( less cynical ) side, maybe they're testing the waters before doing live action. They made Batman : Assault on Arkham, everyone loved it , so now we're getting a live action Suicide Squad. Hopefully the same thing will happen here ?

I liked the Big Lebowski bit.

That was so good, it gives Daredevil's fights a run for their money , honestly.

So I kinda stopped watching after (SPOILERS ) Jerome kicked the bucket ( SPOILERS ) , but does it really improve ? I heard some things they've done with characters like Azrael that i'm not fond of....

I think they need to make a proper Hellblazer series to play around the same time as this show and that way AMC can be considered " the Vertigo network " .

i could absolutely see joe anderson in the role though. i loved his roles in across the universe and hannibal and what i've seen of outsiders is pretty good. i actually remember saying he'd make a good john when i was watching across the universe with a friend of mine a while ago lol

 

joe anderson is a brilliant actor , and i wanted him as john before too.

 

but as long as they let farrell do this, we should be okay :

this show was great IMO. these netflix marvel shows are really on top of their game. can't wait for season 2 of daredevil and the punisher series.

since constantine is cancelled someone should just do a hellblazer fan series

Keanu Reeves is the only guy who did a decent potrayal (ignore the dark hair, guns, and american accent) and im being honest

 

This guy looks like he's going to play the n52 constantine and that's what they're probably going for which is sad.

i'm guessing the reason we have to wait until friggin' season 2 is because their version of rip hunter is such a gigantic constantine ripoff.

i think farrell is a good actor and looks matt ryan esque enough to be a good replacement for matt ryan, but i still want ewan a bit more if we really have to recast him.

meh. they didn't give matt ryan anything mindblowing , but he did good with what he had , they left the possibility of a return from john open, and the peacock joke was pretty good.

 

i kinda figured they'd have him smoke even less frequently than in constantine for some reason.
