  1. Sounds most excellent, but he should have a nasty streak, as Anansi was the trickster, was he not?

He definitely did. But i wanted to have him stand on his own a be a bit different and also wanted to differentiate him from my Jeremy Tableau character who is a trickster and not usually one to be trusted despite his charming aspects. Also, I like the contrast of Is'nana being rather "creepy" in looks, etc, but is deep down very nice and optimistic and fun loving. He'll have his challenges, of course. But at his core, he's a good guy to his bone.

I think the differences in personality between him and his father would also open up to some story ideas.

  2. His name is Is'nana, the Were-Spider and he is the son of the African God of Stories, Anansi. Crushed in his spider form, Anansi summons his son from the Outside Plane to help inspire people in his place. But Is'nana's travel to our world has caused a barrier to break, shifting reality and bringing forth horrors and it's now his duty to stop these horrors while searching for his father and helping people of the world break their mental walls.

Is'nana's "human form" is that of a fit black man in his late 20s-early 30s, good looking. He usually likes to be in the nude due to being nude in his spider form but to fit in with humans, he wears African style clothing, and LOVES Dashikis. His hair is of a mohawk but with dread locks. He is very positive and likes to like at the bright side of things. He is very friendly, respectful, joyful, optimistic, and has a smile on his face.

Is'nana is a mix of human and spider and can alternate between human looking and spider appearances. Sometimes he'll have multiple spider eyes, fangs, extra legs coming out of his back or out of his sides, etc. His appearances and spider abilities should be limitless. Maybe at some points he'll just be a giant spider or maybe similar to Alucard from Hellsing, he'll break apart and become a group of spiders. To heal himself, spiders can just cover his wounds and become a part of him.

  3. I didn't really care for Now You See Me. Found it rather boring and a bit predictable.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed Flashpoint Paradox.

Blue Jasmine was fantastic. I'd be SHOCKED if Cate Blanchett doesn't get an Oscar nom.

Fruitvale Station was also a very well made film. Definitely worth the hype IMO.

  4. An event written by the same author as New Avengers though.

Which is why I'm not too upset. Plus, I'm hoping for some bad-ass t'Challa badassery. I've yet to see him play a prominent part in these event books.

  5. HAHAHAHA!!!

Thanks, guys. And Lou, at this point I'm just enjoying myself. Dealt with another this morning who tried to get me by saying he was no longer interested. I was fine and went on with my life and he's been hitting me up since, back tracking and giving me all his info and credentials, etc. I've no patience for a lot of these egos and BS.

  6. So been getting more into the modeling stuff, etc. And must say I'm getting annoyed with some stuff going on with photographers. Some drama with certain photographers of who to work with, who not to work with, gossips, gossips, and how some photographers won't work with certain models because they've worked with this particular photographer, etc.

Was even hit up by one I shot with months back telling me not to put a particular person's stuff in my portfolio if I'm trying to take this modeling thing seriously. One: I'm doing this as a side thing as practice/break from acting. If I get far with it, cool. I wouldn't mind getting serious with it and pushing my limits and trying to get out there. Also, I've seen the things that goes into a legit portfolio, but I don't see why I can't work with certain photographers when honestly, each shoot I've done I've learned new things and have used them all for practice. Shit like this is just annoying and gets a bit discouraging, but whatever.

    Sorry for the rant.

  7. lol. How did you go introducing your BF to your dad mate?. If we have to gaze on your eGregious youth in its own thread-of-taunting, at least we ought to get the full Soap Opera benefits of your Rolemodelness, don't you think?.

    HA! Touche.

We haven't told him yet. I'm waiting for us to reach a year, that way my pops and stepmom won't assume or claim that it's just a phase of some sorts. My mom also, though I'm more worried of telling her although my stepdad has indicated that she is a bit aware of it, but not too happy.

  8. Dunno who's still watching, but this season of True Blood has been awesome.

    Me!

And I agree, for the most part, shame Sookie's still around but everything else is going great guns - loving the pacing and plot, never forgave [ Spoiler : Jessica for binning off Hoyt so reveling in her current horrible downward spiral! ].

Jessica had some of the best development in the series since her introduction. And this season, I am generally really scared for her after what happened the past 2 episodes. Things are getting insane.

The cliffhanger with Pam and Eric was "holy shit" inducing.
