Preview pages of my first Jeremy Tableau comic. Been a long time coming, hasn't it?

I recall reading all the new releases now of the Hellboy books are going to be HCs. I remember thinking that was a dumb idea and turned me off from buying any of them. And I've for some reason always had an issue with the regular prices of the Hellboy trades, especially as they tend to fall apart easier than other books. I only get them when I see them on sale which sucks because I generally love the stories.

I'm really enjoying Sleepy Hollow actually--it's dumb, but reasonably fun, and I love the "woman of color keeps an eccentric British guy on a short leash" dynamic that seems pretty popular right now. Actually, Whitney and I were talking about race in this show last week: [spoiler: as of the second episode, every major character from the modern world is of color, which is amazing and very very unusual for a mainstream network show. All the white characters are either transplants from the past (Ichibod Crane & the Horseman) or exist only in dreams (his dead witch wife) or flashbacks (George Washington, Abbie's dead cop partner). In the world of the show, 18th-century (all-white) Sleepy Hollow is basically invading 21st-century Sleepy Hollow (represented by a black hero, an Asian villain, and a black semi-sympathetic authority figure, with Abbie's sister being introduced as another potential black hero, this time an anti-establishment one).] However the show handles race going forward, it is definitely an interesting setup and worth tuning in for.
Hmmm. I've yet to watch this but this post may have been that push I needed.

Thank you for all the congrats and kind words, everyone!

Far out, you are a proper bloody playwright now, that makes it official, right, people actually putting it on a stage.
I am glad for you, Greg. You will probably have to stop sleeping all day, to get around to putting enough time into wearing each of your hats!.
I'm lucky I'm still able to get a good amount of sleep, to be honest! I'm still overall able to manage everything, so no complaints except that I'm still a bit of a starving artist, haha! But overall I'm good! All these hats fit so lovingly!
Wahey, Greg, that's awesome news. How do you think it'll be watching your writing come to life on stage?
I'm excited! It's not the first time I've seen something I've written get performed but it's the first time it's entirely my own. I've done works where I've worked with different people to produce something that got up, but this is the first time something of mine entirely will be put up and it's not something produced/starting from school. I'm definitely excited. I thought I was going to be directing this too, but I'm not. But that even gets me more excited cuz I can't wait to see how someone else produces and directs something I've written and what they bring to it.

Congrats, Jessie!! I'm so excited for you!!

Found out yesterday a short play I wrote was picked to be produced by a theatre production comp!! There's going to be a fundraiser in two months and it will be showcased there while getting money for more funds to have an officially performance. Casting was sent out yesterday. And apparently there was going to be three plays showcased, but mine was so strong that they felt it was best to have it performed by itself.
Oh, and I've started producing Jeremy Tableau into a comic book finally, with an artist friend. Coming out pretty well thus far!

Jeez, Lou... I'm really sad right now.

Gah! Just a lot of emotional emotional shit. We're lucky that we're always striving to make it work and talk our issues out and learn through it and get stronger in the process, but man is love highly difficult. We're ok now, but still some damage there. Won't get into it due to it being a bit personal/private, but there's just some things to move on and learn from as every day we're being challenged but still find the love and strength to just go on despite all of it. And I'm so used to just walking away when the shit gets tough when its been both male and females but I can't with this one.

Hey, Spain. Thanks, the relationship lives on. We reached a year yesterday... but unfortunately it hasn't really been a good anniversary day.

My love, thoughts, and prayers with you, Christian.

Hmmm.... I may try to get a Jeremy Tableau or Is'nana, The WereSpider out of this....

I dropped it a few issues in. I just couldn't get into it and due to this run it was difficult getting back on it. I missed a few of Diggle's issues and so on due to falling off the book when Mina started writing.
What's going on with you?
