  1. Finally got the issue a few days ago, and I liked it. Seeing Demon John was like finally meeting someone who I heard in conversations about since months ago. I just felt a bit upset tho that although finally I get a chance to meet that person, he dies right infront of me, lol. That was how I felt, but other than that, good issue. I'd give it an 8.

Oh, and once again, Manco owns.

  2. Hey Sir. Manco, nice to have you on the boards. Since the first time I opened up HB 201 (my first HB comic) I was loving the artwork and I think that you're among the best comic artists out right now. I loved the ultimate realism of it and how dark the surroundings were without making it look for dull and ordinary. I would actually like to see you and Alex Maleev do like a collabration of some kind. That would most likely be beautiful with every cent worth it.

  3. I believe we do have a star in the making. Right now, he's in my extremely top list of favorite artists next to Frank Miller, John Cassady, and Alex Maleev. I hope he stays onto the series til I grow wrinkled and old...

  4. I saw the preview after Smallville, and for some reason, the thing that I loved the most was Batman's voice. No Bruce Wayne's but Batman's. I thought it was great. And also, I could of sworn that Scarecrow had maggots moving around his mask. If so, bloody brilliant.

  5. Great covers, Tim. I used that attachment thing with all the recent and later issues as my new background picture. Best background yet. I'd love to see you doing interiors, but maybe every once and a while because I am in love with Manco right now. But other than that, Hell Yea I'd love to see you doing interiors.

  6. Most of my friends who all saw both Constantine and Sin City loved them both and thought they were both great films. Neither of them ever read the comics and I don't really think they cared, lol. I should give them some of the comics, they might appreciate it more, they most likely would.

  7. I like the issue, I found it interesting and a nice read. I gave it an 8, but if it were drawn by Manco, it would have been a 10. I was so pissed when I saw that it was another artist. Darn them!!!

  8. lucifer has no part in the film until the very end, he's totally clueless about everything that going on thats how john get him to take action against Gabriel and his son. Balthazar is working for gabriel, gabriel is the mastermind behind it all. come on its not like this is the fucking Usual Suspects for gods sake, this plot was easier to follow than a fat man in a red suit distrubuting £10 notes.

Lol, Kejoxen, the plot wasn't what I was trying to point out. What I'm basicly trying to say is that everytime there's an interview or whatever about Balthazar, there's always mention of him being the Devil's right hand man, but in the film, he did nothing to show that and it was mentioned either, so there really wasn't any point in hyping the character of being Lucifer's right hand man...

  9. Bought and read it yesterday, rated it a 7. I thought it was an okay issue, and I feel that I would of liked it better if I knew most of supporting characters given that I'm the new kid when it comes to reading HB.

Art was nice, I loved it, I really like Manco and another great cover from Tim. I'd be nice to see a whole issue or arc drawn by Tim, that'd be awesome.

  10. Are you sure that was Lucifer, becuz I could of sworn it was Gabriel, becuz he was mentioning that he did his part and stuff, and that was to bring Angela to the building. And it was Gabriel's plans all along and this and that....

    I'm getting confused...

  11. Ah, no, you guys got the question all wrong, that wasn't what I was asking. I just wanted to know why Balthazar was really woking for Gabriel rather than Lucifer if he was in fact Lucifer's right hand man in the mvoie. Everything I've heard about Balthzar from this movie was that he was the devil's right hand man but he didn't do anything to show that he was on Lucifer's side.

OOC: my bro told me earlier that Balthazar was really one of the three wise men.

  12. Every bio of descriptiong I've read of Balthazar always said that he was Satan's right hand man, but in the movie there was no mention of this whatsoever and he was working for Gabriel. If he was Satan's right hand man, would he go behind his back like that to help Gabriel. And wouldn't Satan see what was going on?

Or probably Balthazar was helping Gabriel w/ his plan to intrigue Satan with the plan that they came up with.

    What do you guys think?

  14. For some reason, I knew I'd be one of the only people who enjoyed almost everything of the film. I know that you might be thinking that of course I'd enjoy it, I'm a teen who basicly jumped on the bandwagon or whatever. But I don't care, I thought the movie was really good.

I went to go see it with my little brother (he's 12) and he said he liked it, but not too much. He was telling me that he thought he'd fall alseep becuz of the less action approached compared to the other comic-based films, but he thought it was fine the way it was.

Honestly, tho, even though I'm raving for this film after a year, I believe, of waiting, I do sympathize with the hate you have for the changing of the characters. John Constantine is a person you love and don't wanna see dumb-down and altered just for a high-budget-money making film. And already, having read a bit of the comics (2 graphic novels and issue 201+), I had fallen in love with the character also and I'd hate to see how they changed him, but I watched the film as a person who didn't know anything about the comic. I made sure I'd do that that way I won't hate it. I, too, was a bit bothered tho by Chas(z) being played by Shia, but I really didn't see him as much of a cliched sidekick. He came when John needed backup, and he was only there for backup for just a lil' bit of scenes.

Many people who were leaving the theatre were saying good things about the movie and everyone, it seemed, clapped at the ending.

Anywayz, I'm a Christian and I liked the messages of the film, but I do prefer the whole John Constantine not caring about where he'd go like in the comic. But for the film, it was altered. That was the only flaw I really had with the movie, but that didn't stop me from enjoying it and accepting it as a movie in it's own rights.

P.S.: Gavin was great in his 5 scenes/ten minutes of fame  (sorry, couldn't leave w/o saying something bout the Great Gavin)...
